He he... No, I'm done working for financial institutions

I've got a rule book to follow, but I like to see myself as the "friendly face of moderating"

Would you prefer cod or haddock, Norm?

That reminds me of the classic cod sketch... (caution advised for those of sensitive disposition)

Cod or haddock? My poll of 75 Pentax forum users clearly shows, when slapped in the face, people can't tell the difference.

Konica IIIa What a beast!

I scored a Konica IIIa. Here is what Dante Stella says about the Beast: Konica IIIa and IIIM rangefinder cameras

This sucker is heavy! My Baby came with an everready case, in pretty rough condition, but it protected the camera, which has only a scuff or two on the baseplate. All else is "minty." The lens is spotless, and came with the Konica lens cap, and a 1A filter (I think!). The shutter sounds correct at the slow speeds. The release is smooth, and with the mass of the Monster and that fast lens available darkness should be easy.

The rangefinder/viewfinder is a gem. Bright, good eye relief, both eyes open since its 1 to 1, parallax corrected, and it compensates for the decrease in coverage as the lens focuses closer! No, Leica never did that. Nor did Nikon, nor Canon. I am tempted to look for the dedicated closeup/viewfinder attachment...

My iPhone4 no longer rang, swooshed or pinged, so I wanted a new phone. Was leaning toward an iPhone SE or splurging on a S7 Edge or similar. I got a bottom-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy Express Prime (or Go, depending on what you read) for $159.99 and it does more than I can imagine using.

I've heard of those. Quiet. Leaf shutter. Fixed lens. Thin. Fragile shutter.

Do you have a light meter with EV values?

Enjoy!

I just received four packs of K body caps to use on the film cameras I have sitting around open. I thought that would leave me with a couple of spares but I've used them all! Now I'll have to order more whenever I next pick up a film body...

I buy A-50 ƒ2's for that. They look so much cooler.
