Nikon FE (which may or may not work, need batteries to test) and a pre-ai 24mm 2.8 which may find its way onto a Pentax mount eventually.

Found a Gitzo GT3541LS tripod on the local ads... will be used with my big lenses, and may replace the GT5541LS I have if I find it stable enough...

In another thread I asked about getting big prints. They have arrived :-)

I agonized for a little while about putting holes in the walls of my new condo, and about getting adjustable hangers for the three-in-a row big ones so I could line them up evenly. This is only the first hang using measurements only with no adjustments yet. Woohoo :-)

The Griffith observatory all by its lonesome but with room for expansion. (And above the desk as well).

This wall needed something...

Slightly offset on the wall as there is a wall heater on the bottom right. I can expand there and just take them down when I rarely would use the heater.

Now, where do I put my Beatles mirror...

My first action camera.

I wanted something compact to mount on camera to record incidental video sometimes, alongside stills, when shooting events. The GoPro Hero Session was the most compact action camera option available. The WiFi app to control the camera is great, and the number of 3rd party GoPro mounts and accessories is incredible.

a few years ago I owned the Tokina AT-X 840 series one lens. It was great in certain conditions but a zoom part failed and was unrepairable so I sold it for its lens elements. reviewing my birding and travel images I realised that this was a great lens and so started to keep an eye out for a Series II replacement. And one turned up in Japan a week or so ago at a good price including postage. Arrived express postage yesterday with original front cap, OEM hood and it is in fact the NIB minty looking example it was advertised as.

I look forward to getting out with it as the earlier version I only used with the K20D. The resources of the K3 should leverage the lens even further with better shake reduction, better ISO performance to offset the somewhat slow minimum aperture of 4.5-5.6. I re-read all the reviews and the negatives all mentioned the lack of in lens IS as an issue compared to its peers and this would be an issue for the Canon and Nikon users but not so much for Pentax.

There is a D series version of the lens only available for Canon and Nikon - maybe they will bring a new version out for the K1. Pictures taken with K20D and Macro Takumar 50 of the lens and hood with the K3 Gunmetal and Gordy strap.

NIB Lytro Light Field camera (original model) for $25.00 shipped on eBay

I'm not sold on the idea, but my daughter is intrigued by it.
If it spurs her interest in photography it's money well-spent.

My latest acquisition is the used K10D I picked up in the Marketplace here, $140. I'll get photos for you tomorrow. It had 7,000 actuations and it looks brand new.

Yes, one of the reasons I bought it, 6 years and only 7,000 actuations. Course it has more now. I just got it last week.

I got a Minolta MD 75-150mm f/4 in the mail today. I've been looking for a copy in good condition for a while now, I wanted a bit more flexibility in the tele range without givong up too much sharpness or compactness compared to my primes.

It's the one in the middle:

I've posted a couple of test shots (with 100% crops) over here, so far it looks very impressive...

Sigma 170-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG

This is on it's way to me:

Checked the reviews on PF and others, before pulling the trigger. I don't often see Pentax-mount lenses in South Africa, and was the only bidder, heh.
