I've never seen that pocket 'tripod' design before.. Looks like a great item. Wonder if it would fit a DSLR....or are they too large/heavy to be supported by this device ?
There's a large version designed for "entry level" DSLRs:

Pocket Support Large Black | MP3-BK | Manfrotto

That would let out my K10D, K5 and K-1...all with battery grips. But it's still a great idea for those with smaller, lighter cameras.

I can see a K-3 (without grip) and a medium to short lens sitting on that support just fine....

The long awaited meeting...

My FF lenses have been waiting for a matching camera... and now it has arrived.

I agree - just the body and a wide / normal / short tele prime should be fine...

And, in fact, I should be able to let you guys know in a few days. I found a UK seller doing the grey version for less than £15. I don't care what colour it is - black would have been nice, but anything other than pink is fine I've ordered it, and will report back soon. The plan is to try it with my K-5 (which never has a grip attached to it) and the plastic-fantastic 35 and 50, and if it's OK with those, I'll step up to the DA 35 Limited and see what it's like.

Sincere felicitations and congratulations, and empathy with your other cameras, which forthwith will be neglected

Calumet 52mm X0 filter - yellow green
I hate using an SLR with colored filters for BW,
but sometimes it's just unavoidable.

HP G4050 flatbed photo scanner
Until I move and can set up a darkroom again
this will allow me to make digital proof sheets.

seems there are three of these; one is discontinued and has a max load of 3.3 lbs, the current one has a max load of 1.7 lbs, and then there's the wee one for point and shoots...

I found the discontinued one, with the larger payload, at Adorama for $26 and ordered one...

Nice. Do let us know how you get on with it... I suspect mine may be the 1.7lbs version, but I'm not sure.

Bone graft in socket where my #3 tooth used to be. So now I have some ground up cadaver bone in me. The theory is that my bone will use the cadaver bone as a bridge to grow and replace the bone lost to infection. This is part 2 of the implant saga. Four month hiatus in dental work now. My face used to look old and ugly, but now with the swelling it looks old, ugly AND asymmetrical.

Still waiting for the "golden years". Rupert, you are a few years older than me. Have you found them yet? I keep getting mail telling me that I can find them by becoming a member of the AARP.. (American Association of Retired People for you denizens of other countries.)

they come in handy or some things, I use the red filter for outdoor portraits or with strobes (need to get the PC cord to my trigger for the new to me 690)

Nice one! Smaller and lighter than the K135/2.5. Very nice colors and sharp in the center with the classic, pleasing Pentax subject isolation lacking in today's taste for clinically sharp, cold rendering.
