" Rules?... We ain't got no rules. We don't need no rules. I don't have to show you any stinking rules! "

proof of my position

according to you, anyone who posts proof of their latest acquisition without accompanying SMU or ASU provided for scaling purposes - it doesn't count

I don't think so

Another one I've been waiting months to find... snagged today, after a discussion with - and reduced offer to - the Ukrainian seller... a quite rare M39 SLR-mount KMZ Industar-24M 3.5/10.5cm in allegedly MINT condition (which could, in reality, mean anything from good clean condition up ). Comes with bakelite case, front and rear caps and documents which apparently match the lens. The finish of the body looks particularly good... some very, very minor but genuine marks from normal use, but no polishing or re-finishing. I was a little surprised that the seller accepted any offer at all, as these don't come up too often. Like the Zenitar-ME1 I'm now waiting for, this is another waiting game... I'm hoping it'll be as good as it looks.

Oh, and I picked up another inexpensive KMZ Helios-44M-4... but this one has the A/M diaphragm control, like the 44M. Not rare, but rarer

There are a handful of lenses I'm still looking for, but they're increasingly rare

A couple of Industar-24M photos from the seller, plus one of the 44M-4...

I hit the jackpot today, I got a K3, build date 23rd Dec. 2014, in immaculate condition, with only 413 shutter actuations for £275. I also picked up an Olympus Stylus 1s, equally perfect, with 333 actuations for £200. Two cameras that will keep me learning for years to come

What about that zenitar 50mm lens you were waiting for? I was curious enough to look it up. Interesting bokeh for sure...

Today's car boot sale produced a very clean German Coronet 35mm camera from I think the fifties - nothing special in specification, there's no rangefinder or meter, but it does have a nice fungus-free Isco-Gotingen Color-Isconar 2.8/45mm lens and a working Vario shutter, and an unusual "wind on lever at the bottom" design. Cost a fiver, which is reasonable I think, but I can't find any information on it which is a bit odd. Also various Apple cables etc., but nothing else for photography.

Try, to see if Butkus has a manual.

Nice! the newer intuos tablets don't have the user programmable LCDs next to the function buttons, which IMO is a bit of a design blooper from wacom.
Wow, I wasn't aware they'd removed the LCD labels on later models - I'd be pretty lost without them!

More car boot stuff - another clean Series E 50mm f2 Nikkor, a Gossen Sixtino meter in good working order, and a Halina Paulette Electric 35mm camera, not very nice condition but everything works including the meter. Total spend £17.50

Mystery is solved - it's a rebadged Baldinette 2 - http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Balda_Baldinette_II

but there doesn't seem to be a manual on line.

Pentax DFA* 70-200 and a new camera backpack bag since the beast would not fit in my older backpack while mounted

Yeah, I'm looking forward to receiving that one. As I mentioned before, the regular Zenitar-M 1.7/50 is a super lens, so the ME1 with its weird diaphragm should be a hoot. Wide open, the aperture is circular... then it becomes a square with the corners rounded off, eventually becoming completely square. I do wonder how limiting that will be, but there's only one way to find out
