Batteries

My stock of film camera batteries has been running lowish..
  • 10 CR1/3Ns...because why use two SR44s, when one CR1/3N will do?
  • 10 CR2 batteries
  • 10 4LR44 batteries (I meant to get the lithium equivalent... not the alkaline ones I did get...oh well)

Last weekend we went away and after leaving home I realised I'd left the 64gb card I usually use and only had an older 16gb for the K3. It turned out that 16gb was enough but that card is much faster than the newer, higher capacity ones I have and it was great, especially for the HDR shots, which wrote to the card much faster. So I ordered a faster Sandisk 64gb card and will leave the slower ones ones for backups.

I just picked up something from Amazon to help carry equipment when I don't want to use one of my back packs

a GRM Vintage DSLR SLR Messenger Camera Bag

18.0” x 4.5” x 12.0” (LxWxH)

it has a removable camera insert with two adjustable dividers and laptop compartment

2 exterior front pockets, 2 exterior side pockets, 2 interior slots and 1 zippered interior pocket.

Made of thick canvas, faux leather and polyester

they will be there when you need them

and with balance ( and perhaps some type of " glue " ) the SMU can show the scale of almost any lens/camera
LOL - They wouldn't last a day in this house. Two teens and a wife who loves those... and me.

two things may help:

1. don't announce their presence

2. hide them in a frozen vegetable box in the freezer

My latest acquisition was a Super ME with a smc-a 28mm f2, a smc-a 50mm 1.4, a flash, a bag and some other goodies. All for $40.00.

My next purchase is going to be on Monday, I am not even sure what it is. But from what I can see in the offerup picture I believe it is a near mint Leica elmar 50mm f3.5 or 2.8 for $20.00 either way it will look nice on my sony a5000

I am certifiable. Sold some things here and locally so there was money in my PayPal account.

645 collection for less than the cost of one K-mount lens.
  • Pentax 645 body - Works perfectly, used recently, no issues.
  • SMC Pentax-A 645 55mm f2.8
  • SMC Pentax-A 645 75mm f2.8
  • SMC Pentax-A 645 120mm f4 Macro
  • SMC Pentax-A 645 150mm f3.5
  • 645 to K Mount adapter.
  • Additional eyepiece.
  • 5 rolls of 120 b&w filn (HP5+ FP4+ Delta 100) some slightly expired.
The camera, adapter, eyepiece and film were essentially bonus items

Ektachrome returns!

AI Nikkor 43-86mm f/3.5 zoom

This lens is said to have been designed for in-camera cropping of transparencies.
Prices on this model are quite low, possibly due to earlier versions poor reputation.

I sold a couple of those last year - they're not the world's best lens but they're OK within their limitations. It's actually a slightly more useful range than 35-70, in my opinion, since I tend to use the telephoto end quite a lot. Unfortunately I don't seem to have any shots that really show its performance, for some reason I never thought to go out and shoot an album of test photos. I've probably got a couple of images somewhere, I always take one or two to show lens resolution etc, but they'll be boring things like a neighbour's chimney pots, a tree, and so forth.

Today's boot fair bargain was a nice clean Hoya 135mm f2.8 with M42 mount, got it with a skylight filter, caps, and a case for £3, which is pretty good.

Can you enlighten us.

What are the labelled speeds of the fast and slow cards you have actually used, and referred to in your message?
