An M200/4 for $39, and an om-d E-M10b body. With either system that 200/4 will get used!

I'm curious how he keeps a supply around. In my house they'd be consumed rapidly. I'd have to have amazon deliver them daily! (To be fair I wouldn't be the person consuming them except on occasion... My kids, my wife, guests...)

So, what's the exact height of one of your SMUs? I might need to replicate it soon.

I picked up a Samyang FE 35/2.8 for 208,74€ (would otherwise cost ~265€) and a Sirui P-306 monopod for 29€ (otherwise ~50€) on Amazon "Prime Day".

I'm not sure if the AF will work well enough on my old A7 mk.1 (I can resell it at a small profit if it doesn't...)

It certainly makes for a nicely compact kit and complements my FE85/1.8 quite well:

I doubt it'll make me want to sell my other lenses in that FL range (Canon nFD 35/2, Minolta MD 35/2.8, Pentax K28/3.5 <-- those are all too good to sell) but I can easily offset the cost by selling a few lenses/cameras that I don't use anyway (Pentax KX, KM, K55/1.8, M50/1.7; Canon nFD24/2.8, 35-105/3.5, 300/5.6).

Try slipping the box of SMUs inside an empty frozen broccoli bag.

I'm crying laughing. But my kids like brocolli - not enough to cook it themselves.

I'm afraid I won't be able to replicate your methodology, but I think these might work as an alternative unit:
