Jupiter 11 in M39 Zenit mount. ZOMZ, 1962.
It looks nice, but has some cleaning marks. From russian vendors you never know what it really means
I wanted the Tair 11. It seems almost impossible to buy one at a decent price. Any version, not just the old "silver" ones.
So I decided to go for another less desirable objective of the same vintage and with similar aesthetics.
The reviews online are really disorientating... and the pictures too. From washed out low contrast rubbish to sharp images with plenty of "pop".
The various versions (Contax, LTM, M39 Zenit, M42) made in different plants should have the same optical kernel. Maybe the state of conservation is what really makes the difference.
