Zeiss Flektagon 35/2.4, unfortunately aperture isn't working and needs a lot of cleaning

I have the Prakticar version and it is excellent.
Hope you get yours working.

Nice!

I've always loved my original K-5... still have it, still shoot it. But ever since it came out, I hankered after a K-5IIs. IMHO, it's a future classic... all that K-5 image quality goodness, but without the AA filter.

Have fun!!

Received the Kodak Gear 78-215 4.5-5.6 I mentioned a few days ago - nice light lens considering the length and works well on my Canon Eos 400D, and a real bargain at £15 plus postage.

And the friend who spotted the charity shop with lots of lenses a couple of weeks ago pointed me at another charity shop today, where they had several elderly and not particularly nice lenses but no real bargains at £20 and up each. I ended up buying three boxes of flash bulbs there for £2. However, there were four other charity shops within a few yards (no idea why so many in such a small area) and the one directly across the road also had some camera gear. Turned down a Sigma 80-300 in Nikon AF mount, it's a nice lens but they wanted £75 and I've seen it cheaper elsewhere, but got a Nikon fit AF 2x converter for £10, and a couple of 4GB SD cards for £2.50 each.

Two new additions to my hoard of cameras and gear; A Minolta Autocord L, twin lens reflex, fully CLA'd, focus system cleaned, as the were shutter, mirror, screen. Lenses perfect! Even the selenium meter works. New leather. It looks like it were perhaps a demo or sat in a showcase for some 60 years. The eveready case is in shambles. Perhaps some conditioner and restitching....
The other newcomer is a K-mount Tamron 90mm AF macro lens, f2.8. It looks like new old stock, complete with front and rear caps, lens hood, "leather" pouch, all in a somewhat worn box with instructions.

Another lot from my favourite ebay charity seller - Canon gear, paid £55 inc p&p for five cameras including an Eos Rebel 35mm SLR with a very clean 50mm 1.8 AF lens and a very nice Canonet 28, and three point and shoot 35mm and APS cameras that I don't want to list on ebay, they'll be going into my charity box to be donated the next time I head toward the Cancer Research shop. Should get £50-60 for the lens alone, and a moderate profit overall, and I get to help two charities.

Jupiter 11 in M39 Zenit mount. ZOMZ, 1962.
It looks nice, but has some cleaning marks. From russian vendors you never know what it really means

I wanted the Tair 11. It seems almost impossible to buy one at a decent price. Any version, not just the old "silver" ones.
So I decided to go for another less desirable objective of the same vintage and with similar aesthetics.
The reviews online are really disorientating... and the pictures too. From washed out low contrast rubbish to sharp images with plenty of "pop".
The various versions (Contax, LTM, M39 Zenit, M42) made in different plants should have the same optical kernel. Maybe the state of conservation is what really makes the difference.

Looks like my Tair-11, except that the Tair is 133/2.8, and the Jupiter is 135/4. But it's the same silver barrel design.
