Looks great, but: Why do they call it a tripod when they say it has four "legs"?
My understanding is you can use one, two, three or four, of the screws at a time, not really as legs, but more as an anchor mechanisms.

Not a fan of how you adjust the level,
But that's what I'm using the ball head for... the screws are just really in my case as anchor mechanisms.

No they're best used for having drams in.

It’s been the cost of the metal prints holding me back... Well, that and the fear of having a photo that looked ok on screen and crap on the wall... And waiting for one of my pics to look good enough for it...

Since I have gotten back into photography and have taken on some volunteer photography roles for robotics, I've had some nice people give me old Pentax and Pentax-related gear.

So, I finally tackled a problem that anyone who shoots Pentax with old lenses will eventually have to confront......

I picked up a M 85mm f/2 for $100 today. It was in a box of old stuff at a shop and has a damaged filter ring. Besides that it seems to be a good copy from a quick check. Looking forward to shooting it more!

Excellent lens - one of my all-time favourites. You got a good bargain - the price of fast 85s has shot up in the last few years.

Yesterday or so I bought a used DA*16-50 for $175 because the AF doesn't work. I'm hoping it might be a simple "motor massage" fix instead of a completely dead motor. If not, I know who to call!
Today I also just bought a 3D printer! I sell designs on Shapeways so hopefully I'll now be able to make a bit more money while charging a bit less. I was just thinking I'd have to do an "SMU" shot of it but I just remembered I threw out all of my measuring equipment!

I had the problem of choosing between the M85 and the Rokinon/Samyang myself. The 'A' position on the latter put it ahead for me. When one turned up a few months ago, I pulled the trigger. I am very happy with it.

The things is, I can get an M85 now. For only 50% more than I paid for the Rokinon. So far I have been able to resist, but I am getting weaker by the day...

Perhaps you are serious, I can not tell The Dreaded Ricoh pin on Ricoh lenses. I removed the pin for the first time from a Ricoh lens so it will not get stuck on my dSLRs.

Well I wasn't planning on getting an 85 since the 77 is so nice but I just couldn't resist. It was marked at $150 and the guy knocked $50 off for the filter ring. I had no choice!
