Recently added a DA* 16~50/2.8 to the collection.

As you can see from my signature I don't have a lot of "current" lenses in my kit so I'm pretty excited about this one.

Oh boy, I'm jealous. I'm researching zooms in this range (birthday 2 months away, lol) and shorter and the Tamron looks fantastic. How do you find the size? That's the only factor pushing me towards the 50-135mm.

So far (2 days) I'm really happy with it. It's big:-) I suggest a monopod if you plan on using it for long periods at a time. I will have to go back to my slightly larger bag, maybe...

Will take it to an airshow this weekend for the first real use...not the same reach as the 55-300 I normally would take, but I'm hoping/guessing it will be able to sustain a little cropping to make up for it.

Oh, and it focuses pretty close, like 1:3. Provided case has a hand strap but no shoulder strap. Never use those...

And finally, the SDM-failure threads steer me away from the Pentax lenses at this time.

Hard to tell from the blurry photo, but if it's a 7sII it was a steal.

It's looking good, lenswise, whatever it is.

I figure one of those blurs says 'Hi-matic,' anyway? Which reminds me...

That Yashica is a real classic! The photographer that shot our wedding in1972 used one of those.

Most recently, I finally broke down and bought a flash. With 2 graduations and a lot if indoor shooting I figured I needed one. Bought the Metz 48. Used it the first time this weekend.

Well, the month since my last post went by, so...

Sigma 150-500 arrived today.

I think I'm really done now. Really.

Oh, and the Tamrac Pro 12 arrived today as well. Not quite what I hoped size-wise, but I'll add it to the bag collection.

OK, I'm really done. Really.

Really.
