I plan on it! Taking it out tomorrow to make sure everything works fine, and no leaks.

spending spree continues, I got a flash bracket today to hold my microphone, stupid Sony proprietary hot shoe complicates things horribly, but then it lets you use camera powered accessories

I also got the new iPod shuffle and some headphones for it, I love the old shuffle design so much I'm really happy they brought it back, what I'm not happy about is the fact that I had to upgrade to iTunes 10 to use it

Screwmount # 4 Seems like everything works on it, but the proof is in the puddin'. I'll run a roll through it this weekend.

Man I hate lens hoods.

Over the past few days they all came in and I'm currently sitting on a small collection of stupid screw on lens hoods of every size and shape, all factory direct from china and each one is more difficult to deal with than the last

however, I've spent less on all my screw on lens hoods than I would have for one bayonet one (non oem even)

My haul from today's camera show: a bunch of magazines (I'll post the Pentax ads), a cable release for $1, and a Nikkor Ai 105/2.5, carrying a rep of one of the best 105's ever... I'll use it with the FE I have, but of course had to mount it upside down on my K100D:

Ooh, yeah, if you shoot Nikon, you want one of those.

Looks like everyone's finding pretty nice stuff, though.

(Having lens hood worries, Retro? Maybe we can help. I know I get pretty fussy about hoods till I get em right. )

I'm kind of wondering about that myself.

Found this Ikea lamp at a recycling centre for $1.65. I figure I'll fabricate an adaptor and mount it on one of my tripods for continuous portrait and macro lighting with a diffuser over the front. The reflector is almost 40cm across and it throws a nice, soft beam with a compact fluorescent bulb.

Looks pretty styley and useful. Standard lamp parts ought to drop right in there, and you could use that however you like.

I actually found this cheesy tripod that'd be an insult to tripods everywhere if it still had its QR plate and one put a camera on it, but the legs and a piece of rod make for a very nice light stand. You can actually make a lot of useful stuff like that out of what you find in thrift stores and the like.

An LX motor drive

and battery grip M

for my LX for a bargain from a guy saving up for a 645D.

Put 12 (!) 1.5 Volt batteries in the grip and ... wow!... 5 fps, goes like a machine gun! Scared the shit out of me first time.

This will be expensive (in film and film developing). It's like being back in the airforce where we used Nikon F3 with motor drives of similar capacity (but then the film didn't cost me anything).

The LX sure looks handsome with this motor drive and grip and the A*135 on it! And their build quality is on par with the LX and makes the winders for my MX and Super/Program-A's look and feel like toys.

My only heavy duty tripod is an antique that must have been meant to double as a light stand. With all of the columns extended it's not all that stable for photography but it hits almost 9 feet tall.

Douglas - Looks like its time to hunt down a bulk back so you can burn through 250 shots at a time!
