Thanks for the review. I'm a Hi-Power man myself, although the CZ designs once tempted me too.

23 oz. I also have a Ruger LC9, which comes in at 17 oz., and it is also thinner (ideal for sticking in the pocket). But it is just a little too light/snappy for accurate shooting past 10 feet or so, plus the trigger has a long, strong pull which doesn't help with accuracy. The SR9c however has just enough heft to keep the barrel from jumping too much, it fits the hand really well, it is deadly accurate, costs only $400 (at Buds), and best of all is the trigger. When a round is in the chamber, the gun is equivalent to cocked and locked (if safety is on). So it takes just a couple pounds of pressure to pull the trigger. An amazing gun. They had a few problems with it when it was first released a couple of years ago, but Ruger has since fixed it. I've put about 500 rounds through it so far without a single hitch. A comparison of sizes, top down the LC9, SR9c and the CZ P-01:

There are a great many YouTube reviews as well:

thanks. I always have a thing for Rugers, especially their compactness. although the Glock will always be a favorite, it's just too common and every single person that I know either wants one or has gotten one already. I also prefer Ruger for their design and unique features.

now the problem is, how the hell can I get one of these across the border?:ugh:

Well the first step is to ask on an internet forum! Then be sure to follow up with video of the actual caper on youtube.

I just received the four rolls of Ilford HP5+ I ordered a while back. I'm only 12 shots into my current film, so will have to wait a while to try the B&W.

It's simple. Upgrade your PAL to restricted weapons and import the pistol.

I just picked up a smc FA 28-70 AL 1:4 unexpectedly this morning.

This is the one that's sposed to be better than the F 35-70 right?

But there's no 'macro' option. and looking at the reviews, the F 35-70 has a slightly higher average.. I thought it was the other way around... that the F28-70 was better?

Have I missed a step somewhere?

I was under the impression that the F 24-50 f4 was the one to have? I could be wrong though.

mmm don't want any lens ending in 50. the kit lenses drove me batty at 50. i always want to go either above or below 50. i need a 70-80 to keep me happy. i thought i'd read something somewhere about the 28-70. *wanders off to dig*

Well my kit that I forgot I had bid on arrived today. I must say, I'm impressed. Very nice Tamrac bag in great shape + Quantaray 28-90 (again, this is #3) that I tried out to make sure it works and put up in the marketplace + a Quantaray 100-300 in terrific shape + a ZX-30 with batteries that seems to work + assorted lens caps and covers and such.

What am I going to do with 2 ZX-30's?
