So I was a day out in my prediction.. bummer! ;-)

..looks like I'll be returning my 50/1.4G as it's not as sharp as my Sigma was wide open.. only problem is the store has already sold my Sigma 50. I'll be taking my laptop in this time and sorting this BS out before I pay up.

..well actually I'll be getting a refund...

I've come back home from my trip to Edinburgh with the following:

Pentax SP1000 (serviced)
Pentax KX (serviced)
Pentax P30
SMC Takumar 55mm f/2
K 55 f/1.8 (I already had one of these, but it came on the KX)
Vivitar 135mm f/2.8
Rolls of Ektar, Rollei Retro 400, Portra 160 & 400, Ilford Delta 3200

My wife is gonna kill me...

LBA has been in force for some time, but CBA (camera buying addiction) and FBA (film buying addiction) are more recent maladies. I will have to behave myself for some time before I acquire anything else.

My thoughts exactly! When I read the first post I didn't know whether to be happy for RioRico or unhappy that it wasn't me getting this great deal! But given that the listing included the specs for the 43, I expect there will be no problem cancelling the sale.

I'm with you but after looking at the image and the bottom part of the description it looks like a K55 1.8 to me. $78 would be a little high for one of those (great lens though)

Oh bother.

I'm awake now and I'm contacting the seller to cancel the sale.

Oh bother.

Seeing as it was time to get rid of my 02 Hyundai Accent, I picked up a shiny, new 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS for my wife. I get her 09 Sportage which is a little more practical for me.

This counts, right? Got them in the mail today.

You're not obsessed till you get little toy key-chain cameras with interchangeable lenses :P

Vivitar 75-205 3.5-4.5 Macro K Mount Tokina made

Pictures were grubby and I expected only a lens for some spare parts but internals all seem good and externals all polished up well. Now will buy a chinese 55mm cap and hood to round out a lens I am looking forward to exploring.

Wanting to take my flash options a little further, I saw these Rogue FlashBenders in the local 'CRIS' and decided to buy one.

First impression: gonna be fun.
Second impression: the tilt mechanism of the AF540 is not very strong (45 degrees can barely take the weight of the larger flash bender that I bought).
Third impression: does not fit straight away on a Metz 45 CT1.

This arrived on Tuesday, and weighed almost 9 pounds. It turns out the anesthesiologist is also a photographer, he practically made my point and shoot sing.
