Congratulations. It's an amazing lens, small, good IQ, and at its price a very good general telephoto. I love mine and still use it instead of the 70-200/2.8 frequently.

nice score here !

in the "cheapo deal" i just scored a Twin Lens Reflex and a good one ! A Yashica Mat LM (LM stand for Light Meter ) for ... [drums !] 60€ (77$) (shipping inc) !

Usually they go for 120 to 300€ depending on the model / use.

Mine is almost pristine if i trust the pictures

Now i have to wait for a week to arrive
Arrived in bad shape the lens part was still on the body like by miracle and the Copal MXV shutter needs some surgery, the mirror is full of fungus but lens are clean. and need some new leatherette.

Still i'm so happy to have it now

Well as much as I loved my old W60, I finally managed to wear it out last summer... scratches and gouges everywhere and towards the end of my trip to florida last august it started to overexpose everything... sooooo... well.... say hello to my new little friend!

The "Iron Man" camera! =D

Hmmm, I think it needs a bit of a clean-up.

Touching it is enought to clean it :P
It was nicer in picture, but i'm so happy to have it, like a dream come true

And FWIW i've almost fixed the shutter speed problem, but i'm not sure that i'll be able to recover the 1sec and 1/2 sec.

It took some phone calls and emails over the weekend, but this arrived a day ahead of time. Not as big as some have made it out to be. For those wondering, it says "EX" really big on the opposite side. There is no HSM version for Pentax despite what various websites show or say.

f1.4.

f1.7.

I've seen a lot of good deals recently and the temptation to feed my LBA has been strong but my Christmas present to myself is a new LG 23inch 1920 x 1080 IPS Monitor. It truly makes a difference. My old monitor was ok but you had to angle it just perfect and not move your head an inch while editing photos or it started to look like crap. I've been considering one for a while and today I saw one in Best Buy for $189, a pretty good price. My next item will be a Spyder to get it calibrated just right.

Nice kit. Are you planning on using the SF1?

If I can get it working right I plan on at least trying a few rolls of film through it. I might sell it, but I wanted to play with it first. If I can't get it working or fixed reasonably I may simply sell it along with the new battery.
