I'm not sure what was up with that shipping price. Regardless, I'm getting myself a fast fifty as well as some assorted other junk (That AOJ is a killer and a sure sign of LBA) to pick through. If the winder is in decent shape, that alone could possibly help pay for the cost of the lens.

I'm thinking it was the $50 shipping that scared everyone away from the listing. I placed a $20 bid figuring I'd get sniped but NOPE.

After I sold my Canon gear, I used my Mamiya RB67 and my Pentax P3. I finally found a little K-x to play with. Updating the firmware will be a scary thing but otherwise I really like this little camera. I needs accessories!

EDIT: did the firmware update so now I'm feeling like a boss!

FIFTY BUCKS FOR SHIPPING?
For many online sellers shipping seems to be a "profit center".
Anyone who has shopped for computer parts on eBay will know...

I just got an e-mail from them saying "We just noticed we had the shipping too high. Mind if we lower it for you?"

I told em sure.

Apparently it was set for priority USPS, but now they're going to send it parcel post. :-D
So you will get the 50 for far less than 50!

Cool!

All the other listings from them sent parcel were in the mid to upper teens, so I may have that fifty for like 25 bucks.

I refuse to get absolutely happy until it arrives though - the kit its with looks like it was rode hard and put away wet, so it could have issues.

New Blind

I purchased a camo deer hunting blind to use for my wildlife shots. It was on sale and could not resist. I have to wait for some snow to melt before I can put it up and give it a try this spring, summer and fall. No pictures of it yet.

I've been seriously thinking of getting one myself. Going to have to stop by the sporting goods store and check them out the next time I get to town.

Finally got my Pentax-A 50mm 1.7

I have been wanting the A-50mm 1.7 for some time, as I have been quite impressed with my Auto Sears 50mm 2.0, and would like to compare the two. For $51, I got the ME Super film camera, the A 50mm 1.7, a Samyang 28-200mm f 4.0-5.6,and Vivitar flash. I only wanted the 50mm, but may as well see what the ME Super is and try out the Samyang lens. I have no idea about the Vivitar flash, and will be a little afraid to try it on digital cameras. This is a case of buying a batch to get a single item. Sometimes these batch outfits go fairly cheaply, maybe because buyers looking for the lenses overlook the batch sales.

Sorry, no photo because it will arrive later this week.

OK, how many of you have a white K-01 with a white lens? We couldn't resist the K-01 for 370 with the 40 xs on it. But for this host, I took the white 18-35 off the white K-x.

My latest acquisition is not Pentax. I could not resist a Lumix LX7 at $150 off.

Like the K-01, it was just too attractive at $298.

Surprised to find myself buying this, but it is the telephoto aspects that intrigue. Very well put together, and the instruction book is an inch thick. Do we really need all this apps cluttering up the main usage?

I'm, pardon the pun, toying with one of these for the same reasons. I'd be interested in how you get on with it.
