It was a nice day in the Keystone state today, wasn't it? I passed near your area this morning, came in from the Buckeye state near Enon Valley, and exited into the Old Line state near Warfordsburg.

Tomorrow after a brief stop near Baltimore, I will come back into the Keystone state near New Freedom, and exit into the Empire state near Matamoras.

Yep - that's my view - pretty much the same 360deg around. Nothing but trees and mountains - love it!

This is a lens I've wanted for 2 years at least. I'm primarily a long lens shooter going after wildlife since I am surrounded by it here at home. Now as things change, and along with that the inability to hike, walk, or stalk critters any more, I've decided to concentrate on the opposite end a bit. While I don't have any wide open vista type views here on the property, I've found that I can still get some creative shots since I've been working with my 10-17 Fisheye a bit lately. This opens up a whole new type of shooting for me of which I think I am going to enjoy, At least the trees don't run away when I try to shoot them!

I love the color and the green/brown contrast in that second picture!!!

As much as I enjoy the variety of the work, and the variety, often not knowing what the next load will be or where it will pick up and deliver, after 4 years and a half million miles I am ready for a local job.

I miss sleeping in my own bed every night.

I had it pretty good. My trip was a total of 24 hours - drive out 7 hours - 10 hours off (sleep & breakfast) then 7 hours back. Then off for 24 hours. Did 2 trips one week, then 3 the next, then back to 2. I never admitted it to my wife, but I think I slept better in the truck than at home........

My latest aquisition:

A SMC-A 4/35-70 for $50 and a SMC-A 4/70-210 for $44 (prices without shipment converted from £ to $).
Both through eBay from the UK.

Presently it seems Pentax lenses from the eighties are cheaper in the UK than in Germany, wheras East German lenses (Pentacon, CZJ) are more expensive than here.
The standard one should arrive tomorrow or on Monday, the tele one mid of next week.

They both were described as to be in very good condition, I just hope that is true. Just today I got a Paypal refund for a Pentacon MC 4/200 electric with an aperture stuck in fully open position. The seller had not mentioned this (probably doesn't know anything about photographic equipment). It was a bit sad, because the Pentacon was otherwise in near mint condition, looking unused.

I just won an "ME SLR film camera with 35mm lens", the lens is an M 35mm f/2 and I paid more than I'd like, but still a good 30% to 40% less than they usually go for. I might even use the ME too.

I decided to lean bit more towards FF lenses by getting Vivitar 28/2 PKA, Samyang 35/1.4 and K135/3.5. Got them at the same price I sold the 17-70/4 so it was kind of exchange. Seem to work well on Canon 5D.
