Very nice indeed. The reviews are making me think it might be worth a look, but my Sigma 30/1.4 and my FA43 keep telling me otherwise Can you tell I'm conflicted...

Wow, the ART lenses look so nice on the Stormtrooper Pentax.

If size and weight does matter to you this sigma might not cut it. But Image quality wise. I will definitely sell the 30, if I have it. But the 43 will stay, I love primadonna of rendering loveliness when you capture the subject in just the right place, light and background so alive and otherworldly. But I haven't used the 30 by any chance so I couldn't tell really.

I get looks. And when I say "looks" a lot of them and from people in coffee shops and streets. some people told me it was cool and asked where the "hell" I got it, my reply was from "heaven".

The 10-17 is one of my favorite lenses. I wanted it for years before I actually bought one. Was so giddy when I was able to finally get a copy.

Landed a mint Pentax-A 20mm f2.8 on Wednesday. Local Kijiji seller posted it, he'd bought it new in the late 90's for a trip to Alaska, had only used it a couple of times. Still had the original box. $500 seemed fair, considering the condition, and benefit of being able to see it in person, prior to buying. Gentlemen said he's paid over a $1000 for it, when he bought it new. Didn't realize it was such a pricy prime back in the day. 20mm is a sweet spot FOV for me, and I like the small prime size. Infinity focus beyond 6 feet is pretty sweet....just point it, and shoot it. Fingers crossed I'll get to try this gem out on full frame digital someday.

Hmm...it's quite unassuming...

Aha!

Does it blend?

Put 'er on the K-5 and the 31 on the K-01 and we have a perfect walkaround kit

Damnit man, I just chose the DA70 over the FA77 (~600€ for a used FA77 vs 340€ for a used DA70 was just too much for me).
Now you've sent me right back onto the fence (while my DA70's in the mail)!

Enjoy the DA70, it's an exceptional lens in its own right.

Yes, it is. When in doubt, or just have 77 LBA, look at this:

Oh, don't fret. The DA70Ltd is a great lens, and you'll be able to take spectacular photos with it. I have one, and the only reason my photographs are not spectacular is my shortcoming, not the lens

In serious, I actually have both the 77 (MiJ)) and 70. They're both great. They also have different character, either can "do" something that the other can't, and I wouldn't want to let either of them go, nor could I say "I want this, rather than thatone".

In short, be happy with your lens, it's just stellar!

Only got mine recently and according to you, apparently I'm partly to blame for your purchase.

Well it's actually dragon132312 who's at fault cos he started me off on the quest for 20 mm, with his images.

What a joy to use as you say, I started a Lens Club just for my "Good Lady", please feel free to post there.

My worries vanished when I opened my mail this morning, my beloved DA40 now feels rather flimsy in comparison

And to alleviate what was left of my envy I paid another visit to my secret treasure trove and paid 130€ ($172) for another load of glas:
Vivitar Series 1 28mm f/1.9 (mint but the aperture is stuck wide open for some reason, I'll try to repare it)
Vivitar Series 1 135mm f/2.3 (mint, in original packaging)
Auto Revuenon Tomioka 55mm f/1.2 (mint except for a very light yellow tint, I'll give it a week of UV-treatment)
Revueflex 3000 SL (= Chinon CX)

You're not going to show off pictures with and off your new family member? I believe that custom is to do cat-portraits, and the DA70 makes for a very good feline portrait lens

The DA40 and DA70 make for a handsome couple, I'm so sure that you'll get a kick out of what you can do with just those two....get out there and shoot .
