Poitiers' annual photo club swap was on Sunday ... lots a haggling/trading and a few good deals ...

Early bird special, first purchase at 9 AM - the f1.4 for 20€ and the f1.7 for 10€ from the same vendor ... "Batman & Robin"

that f/1.4 is my current favourite lens.

Well, it's a nice paper weight...

Maybe I can find a replacement front element somewhere (from an otherwise damaged lens), I'm not ready to sell it for parts just yet.
No ... hang on to it. Maybe a "parts" 85 (bad Ap, jammed focus, etc.) will show up someday ... I will keep my eyes open for you, OK?! Salut, J

PS - I have a few "paperweight" lenses as well ...

Man - I dream about a K85/1.8.

I wonder where those 5 lenses are today.

That'd be great, thank you!
If you have some specific objects of desire, I'll happily do the same.

Just won it on ebay, now it's here!! Nikomat FTn with 1.2/55mm lens, camera was bought in Japan 1972 for $193usd. Receipt included. Lens is Mint with original Nikon filter. This hunk of glass looks wicked on my Sony A7

Very nice. Congratulations.

I have a FT3 with 50mm 1.4 that I bought new in Hong Kong in 1977. AI lens and body, but the lens still has the old rabbit ears. Mine's matt black and, because it was for the international market, it's a Nikkormat. You could buy Nikomats in Hong Kong at the time, but they did not have the world-wide warranty that came with the Nikkormats. It looks like yours has hardly been used. My "leatherette" case is badly worn.

They were good cameras.

Richard.

Not photography related (unless you take into account the pic was taken with a Pentax Q), but I just received my new Ovation CE44-5 and case today. I've long drooled over Ovations, and finally decided to spring for one. Love the sound - wish I had done this sooner. This will be my last optional purchase for a while.

Nice looking guitar. Send us an MP3 of the sound when you can. I like acoustic, not so much electric. My instrument isn't as portable as that: two manual and AGO pedal board digital organ.

A nice "Helios kit" for 20.50€ delivered to my door ... like brand new, but had to buy 2 new (expensive) batteries. A fully working Zenit 12XP with case and manual, a nice Helios 58/2 (44M), a Helios 135/2.8 ("Made in Japan" & with minor fungus that I will clean out later) with caps, a very nice Helios 28/2.8 ("Made in Japan") with caps, a working Helios 38 Auto tilt-head flash (cleaned up corroded contacts) with manual, full certificates of origin for all the gear, plus original sales invoice along with dedicated carrying case and the silica bags!!! Kit purchased in March of 1985 for 1,495 FF.

I got 12 rolls of expired and nearly-expired Kodak Gold 200. I've never used this film before but at around €1.50 a roll it will be nice to have some very cheap stuff to play with. He threw in a roll of Velvia 50 for free too as he wasn't going to use it.

In other recent-acquisition news, my Tokina 135/2.8 has now been tested on digital and is at least as sharp as my M 135/3.5 wide open and at f/4 considerably sharper.
