Well, I have not been on here (I am referring to this forum and not this particular but that too) due to lack of internet and working all of the time but I had some recent additions to my photographic arsenal that I just recently acquired. Both of them are FD-mount lenses that I can use with my Canon AE-1 Program. One is a Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 lens and the other one is a Vivitar 75-205mm f/3.8 macro focusing zoom lens. The acquisition before this one was a Canon EOS 10D digital slr camera.

I sold a DA-70 Ltd and bought two wide zooms.
Though I said I wouldn't, I got the Sigma 10-20 F4-5.6.
In order to justify getting the Sigma 10-20 instead of the Pentax 12-24, I got the Pentax 10-17 Fish-Eye.
I'm moving cross-country in a week. I think these new additions require a detour passed the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.
Now if I could get that 645 A-35mm in time for the trip...

I've always missed a diopter on my Minolta cameras and I never found an XD-s for a decent price.
This solution is just as rare as the XD-s but cheaper:

I only needed #6 (-1dpt), maybe I'll redestribute the other correction lenses.

It's a little late since my Minolta lenses will mostly be used on a Fuji X-E1 (the Fuji+Minolta kit is now shared property), but still...

regards
Jan

My latest aquisition would be a Jolla mobile smartphone along with the set of Other halves. The UI is a breath of fresh air after Android, it is more gesture based and for me massively more intuitive but I could see how others might find it perplexing at first. Spec wise the mobile is low to mid range but what you are buying is access to Sailfish, the OS. 5 months and 5 big version updates. The guys /gals at Jolla are really cranking them out. It is funny actually when you think of it, massive money and resources are being poured into new Linux based mobile OSes like Tizen, Firefox and Ubuntu but it is a small team that got laid off when Nokia was trojaned that have delivered a whole platform from scratch in under 18 months.

I had to return the brand new sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 because it was very crappy on the edges even stopped down and weird focusing issues. I found a used DA 12-24mm on B&H for $630, and I'm just so pleased with it right now. I actually kinda missed the last 2mm, but I gain much better resolution, contrast and the colors...well the colors are amazing just straight out the camera.

Do non-photography gear acquisitions count?

Thanks a bunch Jean. We are all grown men but we still like our toys, don't we?

You are not the first with a guitar in this thread. Welcome to post anything. Nice looking guitar - how's the sound?

Thank you. Sound is great. I will try to record after I break it in a bit more. I also need to replace the strings with my favorite set soon. Thanks again.

... At last, after a long and painful wait for my Sigma 18-35, which I decided to not wait for, I got my order changed for the next lens on my list... Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM. Pretty nifty, I'm gonna love that 10mm field of view. Took about 45 seconds after I got home and it was on the camera and I was out shooting... And I also got my order of K-Cups, it is a good day!!!
