I bumped up from K-r to K-s1 after finding a bonus 20% off "last one" tag on the auction site.
I also wheeled & dealed a few lenses into a few others, sold off a few more and here it stands.

I'm feeling quite good about this setup.. unless it rains.

Well, that dang Adam has tempted us once again!

Adorama has a great sale on LowePro bags!! I just ordered this one; $9.99 including shipping! I feel guilty!

This will be handy to take a camera along for some shoots in the car.

Lowepro Nova Sport 7L AW Shoulder Bag, Pepper Red LP36613

Here's Adam's thread......there's more great deals on bags!

At $9.99 inc. shipping, I got over the red quickly!

Plus it has a built in rain cover, so you could pull that over to cover the red color!

Indeed. It looks like something an EMT might carry.

Alrighty! Two nice neighbors handed me all this. The price? The price was "Just please don't bring it back." Lol. works for me!

WOW! You're going to lose the savings in film, though, betcha! I had a friend who was livid when Minolta orphaned all his gear. As I did with Pentax and still do, he had about $6,000 invested in Minolta D gear. Obsolete overnight. Lovely equipment it was, too. IIRC he went from 24mm to 400, and all Minolta manufacture.

Found a nice M35mm f/2 down the street.

Maybe someday I'll have time to try it out against the SMC Tak 35 f/2 and the Tak 35 f/2.3.

The M 35/2 is a very nice lens. Not the sharpest wide open but better than the newer version Tak 35/2 and with great colour and contrast.

Picked up a nice K5 on Sunday. About 3 years old, bought if from a really nice guy who started out in wedding photography, but when he contracted out to a bigger group they insisted he must trade up to a Canon FF because all their post processing was set up for Canon FF. So it got worked for 6 months or so, and has spent most of the last 3 years back in its box. 18,000 shutter actuations and the thing looks absolutely brand new, screen protectors on all the plastic and everything, came with everything (excepting the USB cable which he can't find) including a still current, extended warranty.
Funny thing is he actually much prefers using it to his Canon, so when I said, so why sell it, he said in his Asian accent, have to buy more Canon FF lenses, you ever buy Canon? Canon verry expensive, so have to sell, very sad! I wouldn't have minded the DA* lens he was using on it as well but my budget really wouldn't extend another $500 even though it was a good price for a lens that just as clean as the camera. I've got my Tamron F2.8 zoom to put on it in any case, and I'll buy a cheapo DAL WR kit lens off fleabay to run around in the rain and dust with. Should be a good step up from my Kr, that I'll give to my son.
