This came yesterday. I was surprised just how immaculate the condition was. Couldn't wait to try it out and took the shot below in my garden on a fairly dull afternoon here in Scotland.

That M 50 f/1.7 is one of the sharpest lenses that Pentax made. Nice and small too.

A new-to-me accessory for the MX ... works great and this is the MX that I sent to Eric two years ago.

(Winder purchased from London Camera Exchange quite reasonably - a "goodie" for me since I have sold off a bunch of Nikon & Canon gear)

First time for the MX with a winder, and as expected, everything was AOK. Thanks again, Eric. (He does great work in my books)

PS - The eye cup is off a K-50. Works well for me ... xpost

If you have an adapter, give that 55 f1.8 a try. You will not be disappointed with it

Nice shots. I have so many 50s that I have held off buying this lens, but maybe ought to spring for one--well, maybe after I get another 85 mm for portraits.

I could not resist and bought an Industar 50-2 (1:3.5/50mm) lens for 12€. It's some kind of 'Russian Pancake' of the early Zenit cameras and I an very curious how it will perform on my K-01.
It's a tiny thing. Not always easy to get a grip to get it off the camera

Just "rescued" (makes me feel better using this term) this off Ebay. Paid a bit too much maybe in USA terms but I needed something cheap in this range and it is said to be in mint condition. Will let you know what I think after I have taken a few photos.

That's a very good price for an excellent zoom lens in my books ... You should enjoy the images from it.

I was forced to receive this little thing today. Yep, forced. By one of those evil, thought-bending classifieds

Looks like my DFA100 really likes the newcomer - I'll have to let them get better acquainted this weekend.

Oh, and even in the quickly falling autumn light my K-3 + 55-300 managed to lock focus just fine at f/8 and 420mm - quite (for this lens) quickly in EV6, and sloooowly in EV4. But I must say that came as a real surprise: the 55-300 with a 1.4x converter locking focus in EV4 (f/8, 4s, ISO100, 420mm). Too early to say too much about the quality of that combination, though. I still have a week to test it out before the next safari

My latest is a 1933 Zeiss Ikon Ikomat 520. The photo is with my latest Pentax lens, the Macro-Takumar 50/4 preset.
I've got a Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta B...very similar. Beautiful camera and nice pic.
