Plastic fantastic

I just got the plastic fantastic Pentax-DA 50 mm f 1.8, used, at a nice price to add to my collection of 50s. Here's looking out my front door with the last rays of sunlight before we head for night and near-zero temperatures!

Nice day for a drive...

This is my first time posting to this thread...though like many of us here I've been afflicted by LBA for some time now.

I took a nice four hour round trip drive today to pick up a great little package...a very clean ME Super with (interestingly) a few A series lenses. It came with a good-excellent A 50mm f1.7, a good condition Takumar Bayonet 135mm f2.8 and the pick of the bunch, an excellent condition A 35mm f2.8.
Throw in a Pentax branded hard case, third party 80's flash, a few filters and bits and pieces...all for a very reasonable price plus petrol/gas money I'm happy.

Cheers
Dean

I've just set up my new 27" monitor - an IPS panel, 2560x1440 dots.

Wow.

Was my old 23" LCD that bad?

Should have done this years ago.

Wow.

Thrift store comes through again ... all for 10€.

- a very nice, working Voigtlander "Baby" Bessa 66 with case and a French "PMP" yellow filter with its strap case for 7€ (upside down) ... I flashlight tested the bellows and all seems OK
- an excellent Tempophot meter with case for 3€ ... and
- an excellent "Utilo" brand meter with case ... thrown in for free with the Bessa.

Not bad. Happy camper.

Let's see my thrift store (camera gear) acquisitions:
Soligor Wide-Auto 28/2.8
58mm polarizer with 49-58 and 52-58 adapter rings
Izumar 55mm close-up filters +1, +2, +3
and... that's it...

... true.

At least the "swap meet/expo" season will be starting soon (Aulnay on Feb. 7th) ... plus the "yard/boot sale" season will be upon us, too.

SMC Pentax-DA 15/4 in LN- condition, from overseas. This one has been on my 'At-a-Price' List for a long time. It is in the plastic bag warming up to room temperature.

The K-1 just gets farther and farther away.
