A bottle of lens cleaning fluid, a lens cloth and a roll of Ilford FP4.

Camera sensor and lens cleaning kit. Had a big fuzzy get stuck on my K-30 sensor. The air blower took care of it.

Quantaray 2X AF Teleconverter - K-30 is very picky with it and my 18-135 and 10-17, but it works fine with my FA 50 1.4. Haven't tried any other lenses with it on the K-30, but it works great on my K-01 with the ones I had trouble with on the K-30. Live view (contrast focus) works better than regular focus on my K-30, but still not near as good as it does with the K-01.

Kooka KK-P25 AF Extension Tube. Have only tried it with the 18-135, but it works excellent except for the fact that the max focus distance even at 135mm is crazy close - about 2.5'. Max focus distance at about 37mm is almost touching the front element. I am definitely going to do some more experimenting with the 18-135. I was not able to even get it to focus at 18. Very strange as I haven't really tried extension tubes with zoom lenses before.

The DOF with the 18-135 is super thin as well.

HEHEHEHE.Did a little bit of extra testing with the 2x and the extension tube.

It works best with the 2x teleconverter on the camera, then the extension tube, and then the lens. With it at 135mm, the minimum focus distance is right at the front of the lens. It will autofocus with an object at about 1" from the front of the lens.

Magic Lantern Guide for the Pentax K20D

To save on shipping seller of camera body is not sending Japanese language printed manual.

I can download the full manual in English. I hope the Magic Lantern guide will be less daunting.
Though my wife has been using a digital camera (Nikon P7000) the K20D will be her first dSLR.
BTW any further suggestions appreciated.

Chris

Just bought this fairly rare and wonderful Sigma macro lens recently. It does not have its pouch or lens hood but for 280 GBP it was a bargain. I had a 90mm Tamron in the past but sold it as its working distance was not long enough. Gotta get the K-1 now to get the most out of it...
It is about the same size as my Sigma 70-200mm, only slightly slimmer as the macro has a 72mm filter thread as opposed to 77mm on the zoom.

Cool, very good bargain!
You should love it!

BTW, last week, I have launched a new lens club dedicated to this wonderful lens, so please post your photos there!

I do not have a DSLR at the moment as I sold my K-7 a while ago. I'll keep in minde you have this club and will post pictures when possible. Btw I have had a look at pictures others posted and I am very impressed with the results. Very promising picture quality with the K-1 as well.

Not camera stuff, but subject matter no doubt. Lost our last cat over Christmas, and have always wanted a Maine Coon. Now we have 2. 15 weeks old, much growing to come.

My thrift store comes through yet once again ... an 8€ camera bag, as marked ...

Contents ... everything works except for the winders. The best part is the Fujinon EBC lenses ... a 100/2.8 in M42 and a 55/1.6 in X ... I love EBC in M42

An excellent score and I will trade off a bit of this at the next few swap meets ... except for the EBC 100/2.8 in M42 ... I want to try it out on the K-1.

Sympathies on your loss and congratulations on your acquisition(s). Maines are a huge (literally) joy. To paraphrase line from a movie, "You're gonna need a bigger bowl." The two that owned me toted up to more than forty pounds of cat. That's a lot of cat food. Bubba weighed in at 23 lbs.

GoGo was a svelte 18 lbs.

Maine Coons are big cats and they'll take up a lot of room in your heart. Bubba and GoGo have both been gone for years now and I still miss them.

Gorgeous, and sorry you lost them. Thanks for your thoughts too. Our last 2 cats were Norwegian Forests, another huge breed, but I think these girls will be bigger, though one of our Weegies was 42 inches, nose to tail tip. Only weighed 18lbs though.

Here's the NEST on my Sirui tripod. K3, Tamron 500 mirror. Rock solid, movement extremely smooth! I'm really loving this setup!

That's a beauty. I have the 105, and love it; yours will be outstanding! Can't wait to see some of your macros.

Merci WG ... but I do not strike it well like this all the time. A lot of trips for zero return and I have had so long droughts ...

But my strategy seems to pay off in the long run ... "Go often and go very early" Salut, J
