My latest acquisition is the one in the middle, M50 f1.7
I got DA21 on the left a month before that, and the beat up DA15 right hand has already been with me forever (K5 days).

My Spotmatic F and a 50 mm f1.8 just arrived. Happily the lens will accomodate the full aperture metering of the F. I'd never handled a M 42 Pentax before; the camera certainly feels good. Fine fit and finish, my example has only a few small scuffs on the baseplate. Heavy, all metal and glass, as a proper camera should be. About the only improvement might be a split image to go with the microprism screen.

Have bought a mobile photographic enabler.... (Caravan (trailer?) and a truck in other words, along with a new to me 2014 13" Macbook Pro* to edit with when travelling). Lots of aimless Australian wanderings coming my way....

First wanderings took me to here...

so it all seems promising.....

*nothing like using a 9yo iMac to make a 3yo notebook feel fast.

My mobile rig is a 1981 Comfort 17 foot Lite 5th wheel trailer we bought used in 1992. The chassis is new as of 2003 when we bought the current (and final) tow vehicle, a brand new 2002 Toyota Tundra. We had to raise the trailer 10 inches (25 cm) or so because the height of the new pickup trucks (Utes in OZ I think). The MacBook Air 13" bought last November when Windows 10 wiped the operating system from my previous laptop is the only computer I use.

My jump to 'real' photography from a Kodak Brownie was a Petri with a couple lenses. I learned a lot about exposure with that camera. The next step was a Pentax Super Program. I've acquired and use a small group of non-SLR cameras since, but my primary has since been Pentax.

He bought the Petri at the PX when he was stationed in Vietnam. IIRC he said
he figured it would be a good choice since Petri was the house brand of Macy's
or Gimbels at the time. Remember when department stores sold 35mm cameras?

Once he had a problem with one of the Petri lenses and attempted to repair it.
When he finally brought the bag of parts to the Petri authorized repairer
they told him they had never seen one disassembled that far!

SMC PENTAX 1:4/20 with caps

Came across this beauty in the Marketplace after a long time looking. I don't think it has ever been mounted (but it soon will be on K-1 and K2DMD ).
