Not if you're the one who buys it for $30.

We got my F 70-210 for $35 CAD. Maybe he got ripped off.
I got my FA 70-200 for $11, so good prices for that range all around

That Takumar 35mm f/2.3 needed yet another accessory item to make it work better. So far it needed a UV filter, lens cap and spare M42 adapter. It turned out that the little wrench that came with the Hama adapter wasn't all that useful. You win some and you lose some.

The Tak isn't great as far as close focussing goes. So I ordered a set of extension tubes to rectify that. I have thought about getting one for a long time in any case. I do own a bellows but it it too bulky and fragile to leave in the bag.

Last weekend I was in a camera store and pickup up a used Sony a6000 and an 18-55 lens. I had been interested in mirrorless some and had looked at Sony and Fuji. I didn't really expect to buy one but it was very clean with a good price, and turned out to only have about 4100 shutter actuations. A couple days later I ordered a new 20/2.8 prime for it, then found a used 16/2.8 prime for a super price. haven't had too many opportunities with it yet but son far it's good. I think my main reason to get it was the really fast autofocus. It's more compact than I expected, especially with that 20mm lens on it. Of course I keep thinking for a little more I could have had a KP!

The focus is amazing, I was very tempted by one, but it's too small for my big old engineering meathooks, I'd get cramp in my hands after a few minutes holding it.
Very nice cameras though, and the lenses are great.

Two recent thrift store finds ... the broken, dented & peeling ME with the very nice SMC K 50/1.4 was a pricey 10€ .... and the Nikon F90x with the 24-120 (+ good battery + new roll of color film) was a more reasonably priced item ... only 6 €.

Damnit, JP, will you stop that!

I want one of those M85's. The K24 I have, and it's a very nice little lens, really like it on the K-1

Now, who could possibly blame us for hating you?

I want that K50, too

That Nikon you can keep. I'm very generous, ain't I?

Savoche ... you're a funny guy, but this one will really bring out the torches and the pitchforks ... plus maybe some tar and feather, too !

Picture this. Large community yard sale at Buxerolles just north of Poitiers last Sunday. I hit it, as all the really close ones ...

And I see this ... and I think that a "zero" is missing from the red-marked price tag. Nope.

I look good. I see good. I offer a "two" and a "zero", but the middle-aged lady selling the item said no in that she wanted a "two" and a "five", but no "zero" afterwards.

So, I paid cash on the spot ... and now I am a bit scared. Didn't ask why for the sale, just bought and left.

Almost afraid it might be "hot", but the lady seller looked AOK and her stand was a bunch of average garage sale type items.

Maybe I am being a bit "parano" ... but this thing is freaking new without any use marks and just a bit of a slightly tattered box ... go figure.

As my French wife says, "J, you have a butt full of noodles!". Not divorce words, just means that I am lucky ... I guess.

JP, since I liked you once I'll give you a head start. We're lighting the fires under the tar barrels now.

Heck, I could easily finance a trip to France with a few finds like that
