Get out the tar and the feathers ... again.

Someone's Pentax collection showed up in three camera bags priced 15€, 15€ and 20€. Expensive, but I had the cash on me.

The best Pentax gear was from left to right three pristine K lenses ... a 28/3.5, a 50/1.4, and a 135/2.5. Then a Sigma 100-200/4.5 zoom, a like new set of Vivitar Automatic extension tubes plus a Pentax M42 adapter with its box.

Plus there was a very nice working KM with a K Auto Bellows featuring a first version K 100/4 Bellows ... but, unfortunately there's a bit of separation in the twin front group ... need to try it out on the K-1 to see if there any image degradation.

Also there was a nice ME with winder sporting a Sigma 21-35mm f/3.5-4 ...

And some other odds and ends ... one of those funky 90° trick lens extensions for "spy" photos ... a semi-fisheye extension in 52mm ... a radio controller set ... a pistol grip ... a roll of color slide film expired in 1986 ... etc, etc. There's another picture like this which I could have done, but it would be a bunch of boring filters, flashes and bracket stuff ...

50€ is a bit expensive for my thrift store, but I will make an exception this time.

You did get quite a bit of stuff for your 50. Not a bad deal.

I just said that if the guys in not buying a k3 thread keep going with their jokes about lawyers you would send Charlemagne and Roland from Poitiers to sort them. I believe it was at Poitiers that the worm took Roland.

You are probably right In which case I'll play with this M 50 1.4 for a while and then I'll probably offer it up to someone who likes to tinker with lenses and can fix the aperture issue. Freely give for freely ye have been given
I am, however, pleasantly surprised with how sharp this M lens is wide open. But I should probably put it on the K-S1 for a proper evaluation, as the K10D can be pretty forgiving.

@Jean: It must be nice there in France. I regularly haunt the local thrift stores in North Georgia regularly and the last K mount find was 3 years ago - my P30T that came with the maligned Takumar-A 28-80. I kept the P30T as it's quite nice, and gave away the 28-80 (I couldn't bring myself to sell it, IQ is so bad...) But the best thing in that find was the camera bag, I still use that bag to this day.

At least the thrift hunting hasn't been in vain, I got a nice set of bicycles for the whole family for very little money during this time

Just arrived yesterday - a Samsung GX-1L (*ist DL2 clone) with 18-55 and 50-200 lenses and Samsung SEF-36PZF flash, all in excellent condition (after cleaning, the camera is very nearly mint), boxed with documents and accompanied by a couple of decent LowePro bags.

As is common with the *ist models, the FL eyecup is missing... but I'll probably add an O-ME53 at some point anyway, so I'm not too disappointed. The camera has a shutter count of just over 5,200 - which is surprising, as there are hardly any signs of use externally (the previous owner was obviously very careful with his gear). It's still quite low, though, and there should be plenty of life in it. I've updated the firmware to v1.02, so it's now capable of using SD cards larger than 2GB.

More six-megapickle goodness to complement my *ist DL

JP,

Nice haul. I haven't seen that much used, or new, Pentax gear in one place in decades.

How much did you pay for this lot? (1.2 lenses are generally a few hundred used)

Here's a quick breakdown:

65€:
- KM
- K50/1.4 (incl. original caps)
- K28/3.5 (incl. original caps & case)

95€:
- KX
- K28/3.5 (incl. original caps & case
- K55/1.8 (incl. original caps)
- K135/3.5 (incl. original hood, caps & case)

50€:
- K24/3.5 (incl. original hood & caps)

250€:
- X700
- MD 50/1.2 (incl. original caps)
- MD 28/2.0 (incl. original hood & caps)

(not counting a couple of cheap 3rd party lenses, flashes & bags)

The MD28/2 is probably the most valuable but it's too rare to get a typical used price from past ebay sales. (no past sales within the searchable time window, only these 2 current offers: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222621777517, http://www.ebay.com/itm/302445005841 and mine seems to be in better condition than those two and comes with the original hood)
