I do store my lenses in an old hardwood chest of drawers with rubber mesh drawer liners under them and many sachets of dessicant in each drawer.
The wood itself controls some humidity and the dessicant seems to take care of the rest. Exercising them regularly also helps.

This is commonly known as a "Lens Humidor".

My setup is similar but not as elaborate: my sock drawer.

I believe storing gear for years in a damp basement causes most of the fungal damage in North America

Eric Hendrickson serviced a camera body for my ex-brother-in-law. It had been stored for years in an unheated crawlspace.
He was able to get it working but wrote "Evidence of humidity" on the invoice and I presume he wouldn't warranty repair.

Auto-Takumar 85/1.8, original case and caps, which is presently mounted to my black H3 awaiting sunlight. Oh my. SV is quite jealous, but it got the ST55/1.8 that should have been there all along. AT35/3.5 goes to the drawer I guess.

I’ll add a couple beauty shots tomorrow. What a lens - just to hold such fabled glass is a thrill. I can’t wait to get it on K-1 and K-1ll in good light.

Sorry, I just had visions of you throwing a ball around the garden for your lenses to bring back to you....too many days with the dog.

I finally upgraded to a K3 ii. I decided the move up from 16MP to 24 MP was worth it.
It is a 50% improvement after all.

When I upgraded from my k50 to my k-3 it was subtle. Pixel peeping and large prints show the difference more than the screens.

I bought a Tenba Classic 2 shoulder bag.
Unfortunately I received a different brand/model/size/color bag.

Dealer is reputable but if they shipped my bag to someone else...
Hope I can straighten out this mix up.

BTW I just gave away three or four other larger bags.

Chris

Momon desktop tripod on the advice of others on the forum. Very impressed with workmanship, fit and finish. Now traveling with me. Had a large strong ball head already so is a great portable setup that fits in a lowepro lens case number 4. The red ring collar is very Pentax in colour. Great bargain.

Pentax MX with M40 2.8 in the DC Shooter silver and red livery.

Taken on K3 with DA LTD 40mm vs 1.

A 6 TB Toshiba N300 NAS drive, and two GeForce 1060. I only wanted one, but my first order (of the card that I actually wanted) was on hold for months, with no estimated shipping date and the looming fear of cancellation. So I ordered another (with only 1 instead of 3 fans) when there was an offer... which arrived after only 1 1/2 months. A couple of weeks later I got confirmation that the first order is going to get shipped soon. Oh well. Now I've got two... it'll let them mine for a while before selling the lesser of the cards. They are great for gaming though, and Lightroom/Premiere Pro has sped up too.

Oh, and more photography related, a K to m43 mount adapter with aperture ring (since I want to adapt lenses without aperture ring).

Pentax-m 200mm f4 with original box, case and booklet for £39, 2x tokina rmc 28mm, one Nikon IA fit for a friend, 1 Pentax k fit for me , the Nikon has a hint of fungus so will need cleaning, £40 for the pair. Also, I got a duragadget, light brown, medium camera bag for dslr. I am taking my K3 and two lenses to seville and it is a perfect lens swap bag with a divider and a pocket for filters etc. It is way smaller than the Lowepro and think tank bags and was only £15, exactly what I wanted. Oh, and I finally got notification that my SMC da-l 55-300mm has arrived in the UK from Japan, COME ON ROYAL MAIL!!!

Adapters for the Sony Nex 5 ... for Minolta SR and PK ... pictured are the MD 50/1.2 and K 50/1.2 ... plus a set of ND filters (2, 4, 8, 16) in 52mm mainly for fun and for the Yashica 35 CC which only goes to 1/500. Need to give them a try out soon.
