Low serial number FA77 Limited, green bag, box, LN-

If the green bag gives the IQ any special fairy dust I’ll let everybody know.

I will get down his prices as far as possible as this guy seems to understand next no nothing about cameras, so i can't reliy on he identifying fungus. He didn't even know that the bent filter ring on the Helios is a problem, he just thought it was a cosmetic flange that was useless. Yes, i know that bump=problem but, he advertised it on first place at 0.99GBP so if i can get both lenses at around 20€ with shipping i'd be happy. Shipping costs are a bitch sometimes, and i may try to negotiate this. At the end, I don't really need them, is just a "nice to have" thing and if instead of a 72h international shipping i can get one of those inexpensive but like multiweek shipping, i'll be fine, as the M42 adapter will take its 2 to 3 weeks to arrive too.
Ah you are still in the infancy of your LBA with a mere 8 lenses. My LBA is so bad my wife's initials are LBA

Truth is, when a lens falls out of use, I'm very much inclined to sell it to someone who will value and use it. I may be a buyer, but I am not a collector or accumulator of equipment that I don't use. That being said, there's a lot of equipment I should list on the for-sale thread.

I feel the same way except for my inherited film gear collection. But anything I bought to be used should get used or go!

I'm excited to receive something new that isn't directly related to photography but will be used in the process, I'm sure.
A new pair of light touring ski boots that are designed for going up as much as going down. I've been on my old ones for most of a decade so it should be a good upgrade!

I wasn't talking about lenses in general. Just Sigma telescoping zoom KA lenses.

Well, eBay gave me another terrific deal. 12.00 USD plus 8.75 shipping and I received a fully working Fujica AX-3 with an X-Fujinon 1.9 50mm FM lens, plus an old school hippy strap. I'll post pics asap. I just found it in my mailbox this evening.

As part of my collection of mechanical SLRs I was looking to replace my T70 for FD mount lenses. I was going to get a FTb, but prices seemed a bit high on eBay. This beat up F-1 showed up on eBay listed by National Camera Exchange. Listed as Tested and Working (it needs a CLA) for $129.99 OBO. When eBay did a 10% coupon the other day I offered $125 and they excepted. I paid $112.50 and it had free shipping...The Canon guys in the Vintage Camera Collectors Facebook group are all "An F-1 doesn't look good without some brassing and dents"...

Mamiya back caps

I just paid $15.47 for three back caps for Mamiya 645 lenses.

I seem to have developed a peculiar interest in trying non-Pentax lenses on the K-1, 645Z, and 645D, so have previously acquired the Mamiya 45/2.8, 80/1.9, and 150/3.5, all without back caps for some reason. These three only work on the K-mount cameras as registry distances are incompatible with the Pentax 645s. As a general comment, this is a somewhat senseless exercise as none of the Mamiya lenses tried so far, with the possible exception of the 80/1.9, have much to offer that is not available on Pentax medium format lenses. They are good lenses, but to the non-pixil peeker no better than the Pentax lenses of similar focal length.

I got a 50-135 and it's amazing!
I think it has the best colors and micro-contrast of all my lenses.

Here's mine:

Having purchased the FA 20-35 this summer, I didn't need the 24mm equivalent that the 16-85 was giving me, and I was trying of switching between APS-C and FF on my K-1 (or having to explain about the black center rectangle to people who use my camera to take a snapshot). Using the modified 60-250 frequently, I'll be able to simply leave my camera on FF mode at all times.

The 28-105 looks fine. Slightly smaller than the 16-85, much smaller hood thankfully, similar build quality. I'm not a fan of the printed minimalist aperture/focal length print, I think the modern fonts on the 16-85 look better (I like the minimalist lettering when it's engraved, less when it's printed, looks cheaper).

AF appears just as fast as the 16-85, I'll have to test IQ to confirm, but so far I like it! The 16-85 will go up for sale shortly I expect.

Got to try my "new" Sigma 18-35 Art lens out yesterday. It's rather nice. Sharpness is good, it's heavy but that was no surprise but the overall size did shock me, and I'm having no problem with autofocus. When using it at f1.8 it strikes me that only centerpoint AF makes sense and with that setting I have had no problems with sharp images with very nice bokeh. Now to take it out this weekend and give it a real workout......
