I have too acquired some nice shelf queens from Goodwill...

Lack of fungus or haze always seems surprising coming from there...sometimes you get lucky
This was a cheap shelf queen compared to the Topcon RE Super...

Neither does Ken Rockwell ... https://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/aps.htm

It's definitely a system for "Amateurs" like he says ... takes one to know one.

Speaking of film ... 10 rolls from the "Labo Argentique" (Accueil - Labo Argentique) were delivered by the Postman. I am going to try these new-to-me film with differing Caffenol recipes ... plus some Ilfotec LC29 & Rodinal, too.

I go often to the downtown shop of my thrift store, but here they have very little selection and most is "expensive" for my taste and usually broken, too. Most of my thrift store acquisitions are from their south Poitiers site.

Anyway, from downtown and although marked "Bloqué" (Jammed) I grabbed for 15€ a Kodak Model 40 (6x9) with a rare Angenieux 100/3.5 with a very nice case. It's on the left and I already had a parts body (to the right) with a jammed shutter and a rotted bellows plus a missing winder knob. Between the two I hope to make one work.

The one that I just bought is not really jammed, but rather the shutter trigger mechanism is broken. Lens shutter will fire, but I need to take it a part and clean it up, especially since someone gave it a bit of a WD-40 bath ... stinks a lot. Thus, another rainy day project ...

Nearly didn't go to Portobello Road today because it was a horrible-looking day, fortunately I did - a dealer who has never had photographic stuff before was packing up to go and wanted to get rid of stuff, and I got a dead Praktica and 828mm worth of M42 lenses plus a 2x converter for £15!

An Optomax 500mm f8 T-mount lens, the usual sort of thing - optically perfect for a change, but a bit of a dent in the filter mount.
An Optomax 300mm f5.6, this one is M42 auto aperture and also very clean and seems to be working well
A Hanimex 28mm f2.8, externally dirty but it's cleaning up OK and working
And a Cherry-Phago 2x converter that looks pretty much like every other M42 2x converter and seems to be OK.

No fungus in any of them, so far as I can tell, but I won't be 100% sure they're OK until I take test photos.

And I've picked up another cheap Kodak Gear (Tamron) 78-215 for Canon on eBay, £18 with some other items thrown in, should get it tomorrow or early next week.

Some car boot stuff, not as good on close inspection as I'd thought

Tamron Adaptall 2x converter 01F, has slight fungus in the rear element, but does have front and rear caps and a case
Chinon 55/1.7 M42 screw, lazy iris but clean

Spent £13, probably slightly less than I'll get for them but not a huge profit.

Lens repair

The lens that likes to live on my 645Z is the D FA 90mm f 2.8, but its AF stopped working. I sent it in to Keh for their standard $250 lens charge, and today FEDEX brought it back home, nice and tight and focusing perfectly. It was away from home for only a week, and now living again on the 645Z. Based on this experience, I am happy to recommend Keh's repair services.

Attached are a few test shots from the 90mm.

Very nice motorcycle. Looks like...roll the throttle and hold on !

I have a couple older motorcycles. A '67 Matchless Scrambler....G 15 CS, 750cc Norton engine in a Matchless frame and a '78 Yamaha SR 500. I've had the Yamaha single since new, but back then I wrestled with the decision of either getting either the street 500 single (SR) or a XT 500. I still sometimes wonder if I should of got the XT back then.

Will you trail ride (fast trail rides ) or race your new Yamaha ?

Another shipment from Shopgoodwill, and I maintain my nearly perfect record of Konica cameras with inoperative light meters. Autoreflex T, TC, T4, C35, none work...FS-1 & C35 MF seem to work.

I think this Autoreflex T will go off to Mr. Weber in Nebraska along with the C35 MF. It's at least 3 years older than I am but it's in better condition...even with the dead meter.

The three lenses that came with it are spotless. (52/1.8, 28/3.5 & 80-200/3.5) The 80-200 is a beast of a lens. Late '60s zoom lens made entirely of metal. It weighs 1.2 KG...

The other cameras are shelf pieces. Polaroid Model 20 "Swinger", Polaroid Big Shot, & Minolta-16 P. The Minolta has its original case and a flash some of the kit is missing.

I think for the 44-4 you need the flanged infinity adapter. Kipon make a good one. Word of warning though, they are a tight fit! I had to rub mine down so it would fit snugly into the opening but was still removable without too much effort. You also use this adapter for some of the alloy czj tessar 50mm lenses. Best way to check is to see if the manual/auto lever or ring opens and closes the aperture with the pin untouched you need an ordinary adapter (pixco make a good, cheaper alternative to the Pentax original) if however you need the pin pressed in to open and close the aperture using the lever/ring then you need the flanged version

I can really only touch one booted foot at a time while stopped. Off-road bikes are tall (for me, anyway).
