Got this yesterday - the lens is very good, there were also two small flashes and a x2 M42 converter in good condition. That lot would have fitted into a small shoe box, the guy sent them in a box 19cm x 33cm x 36cm, with about 90% of the space full of bubble pack! Not complaining, I get through a hundred metre x 30cm roll every month or so, more is always useful.
Unfortunately I also got a job lot today I'd more or less forgotten about - a Weston Euro-Master meter, Sigma UC manual focus 70-210 with PK mount (it has the electrical contacts so fairly late for manual PK), a Unitor 35-70 PK which is pre the electrical stuff, those are all good - unfortunately the last item was a Pentax 50/2 which was described as having "some dust" but is a lot worse than described, so much so that I'm thinking of returning the lot. Fungus, won't focus to infinity, won't stop down. The lot cost £19 so I can probably make my money back even selling the lens for spares, but I'm more inclined to return it for a refund, it really isn't what I thought I was buying. VERY annoying.
Later - took another look and realised that it isn't fungus, it's flakes of corrosion; one side of the interior of the lens looks like it's been exposed to acid fumes - there's a brown streak which is probably rust from the iris, and white gunge which is probably the surrounding metal, some sort of alloy, with crystals from corrosion. I've requested a return and said I'm willing to return the lens on its own for a partial refund, we'll see what happens.
