The annual swap meet at Notre-Dame-d'Oé (northern Tours suburb) was last Sunday, so I trucked up there (2+ hours round trip) to pick up a few goodies. The selection was not great and a bit limited as compared to previous years. Anyway, here we go ...
First purchase for 40€ (a bit expensive for me) a very nice KX with a M 35-70/2.8-3.5. I really want it for the lens and it has a bit of a damaged filter rim ... it was from a man's collection covering a table that his daughter and her husband were selling. A lot of Pentax, but I had most already. We chatted it up and I helped them figure out how to mount a Canon (old) FD lens back on a AE-1 body.
Next an aus Jena Pancolar MC 50/1.8 for 12€ ... stiff focus and the blades would not close down beyond f/5.6, but I have already serviced it and it's very good now. The light meter is KO on the body and it came with a good 1.35 volt battery which is always appreciated.
For 5€ a nice Pentax hood for a 50mm f/1.2, 1.4 etc. with a NIB lens cap ... really bought the cap for the box for the odds & ends part of my collection. And for 20€ a very nice lens for my Mamiya M645 ... a Sekor C 210/4 with a Mamiya UV filter.
And the last purchase, but not the least purchase ... from below that table of my KX acquisition. It was in a box on the floor and I inquired. They said that it was broken (with the aperture block failure) ... the battery was barely alive, so I put a M50/1.7 on it and then went into the menu to allow for it to work. Just fine in "M" mode and they said I could have it for 30€ ... so bingo. I checked the shutter count at home and it's only just above1,200. I may resell this one at my cost to a friend ... we'll see.
