Hi Dave

So how many more lenses before it becomes a 'squeeze'...

I have been mulling over a K mount lens to Samsung NX body adapter for a long time, There were a few things holding me back. The cheap ones vary from sample to sample. Some do not line up lens and sensor in a parallel way, which is bad for IQ. Some samples do not activate the micro switch that tells the camera that a lens is attached. More expensive ones are better, but they are uhm more expensive. At the top of the tree is Novoflex. Their quality is top notch I suppose, but the prices are just out of my league. Ebay sellers promise delivery in 45 working days. Other sellers charge more for delivery that the adapter.

A local seller offers one on an auction site. He doesn't actually keep stock but will order one on your behalf. His ad shows a K mount adapter but the description is about an Olympus mount. I contacted him and he assured me that it is indeed K mount, but did not bother to correct his ad. There is a "make offer" in the ad. I did that and he came down $2 in his price. What a generous fellow!

I finally did something about it. The one K mount lenses that I would really like to try on my Samsung cameras is my Rokinon 85mm f/1.4. The thing is, it would be an all manual affair. Focus aids n the Samsung would probably not work. My solution was simple. I bought a used Samyang 85mm f/1.4 in NX mount from B&H. It is said to be in 9+ condition and was a nickel short of $170. How could I resist?

As for the adapter, it will have to wait a little longer.

If I didn't already own an SMC Pentax 24/2.8 lens I'd probably look for a nice Tamron 01B.

I seldom go that wide but it would be handy for the many mounts I shoot.

It just occurred to me that I will need a bigger bag for my Samsung kit.

exactly - if I did own an SMC 24/2.8, there would have been no need for the 01B; this was the cheapest way I could find to a sub-28mm lens for the M42 body...

and the second Adaptall to arrive this week:
I suspect you'll be pleased with the results from the Tamron 90mm macro. Starting with its original release and for all models since it has had an excellent reputation.

Another charity lot for £20 inc P&P:
- a pristine Adaptall 2 3.8-4 80-210 103A with the original case, front cap, hood and (moderately rare) the clear plastic rear cap.
- a clean Tokina SD 70-210 4-5.6 for Minolta MD, with rear cap. A bit annoying because the photo wasn't clear, I thought it was PK
- and a Vivitar 28/2.8 in Canon FD mount that I'm a bit suspicious of - it's clean and seems to work OK but for some reason the aperture ring is round 90 degrees from where it should be and doesn't click. I think it'll be a "spares/repairs" item.

Not quite as good as I'd hoped, but I ought to more or less break even - probably won't make a profit though.

Took a chance on an auction where the lens mounted on the K100D was not identified and all I could tell was it was an odd size F series Pentax lens. It had a DA50-200 with it that was easily ID'd but the mounted lens was a mystery. The box arrived today and I was a bit.....surprised.

The K100D powered right up with 4 AA batteries Had to go dig up an OLD SD card (2mb!) for it to work but it took pictures and the settings seemed to work. Its a bit grimey but I'll clean it up. Now I have a CCD sensor Pentax! Yeah!

The surprise lens was a.....

F50/2.8 Macro! It IS already cleaned up, been mounted to the K5IIs, and it works like a charm. Wow, what a steal of a deal and unexpected!

You'll be happy with that one. Every 50mm macro that Pentax has made, starting with the f4 preset, has been a winner.

Thanks. I have an M50/4 that is terrific. I'm looking forward to giving this one a workout next weekend.

I've been meaning to post in this thread for some time now. My job recently gave me the Sony A7III along with the 35mm 1.4 which both ended up surprising me. I picked up the Sony 85mm 1.8 to replace my beloved FA 85 on the Pentax. Snagged a Fujifilm X-T3 with the grip and the 18-55 kit lens over the Black Friday weekend. Just received the Fujifilm 56mm 1.2 today. Also got the Zhiyun Weebil stabilizer for more video work. Had a special accommodation from my other job to get $100 off the GoPro Hero 7 Black as well (mostly for quick BTS videos).

Lots of new gear and lenses to learn! So little time!

I don't expect anything special or even good. However, the chance to play with an extremely long lens (1-4 meters!), no matter how slow or poor quality images, was too tempting to not gather all the adapter parts for it. That and I'm in it for less than $100 total.
