thank you

I was afraid that there was just a bunch of sad-asses, sitting around an eBay page, waiting for something to happen....

Some eBay "sad-asses" simply can't imagine that there are any "other ways" of getting the best deal!

" just a bunch of sad-asses sitting around an Ebay page"

Sometimes it takes awhile to find "that" one lense, camera, etc. Guess you can call me one of the sad-asses sitting around the Marketplace.

A more powerful CPU cooler seeing as I went from a 90 watt to a 130 watt CPU.
Should arrive tomorrow and then my temps can finally go down from 50 degrees at idle.

I just bought a USB 3.1 cable with USB-C to USB-A connectors to help migrate my wife from her old 2012 Macbook Pro to a 2018 Macbook Pro (because none of the 15 bazillion USB cables I already had would work.)

This is so true:

So now I want one of these:

There is hope for simplification. WiFi has absorbed many a USB, Parallel port and even audio/video cable plug around home and office, not to mention many a network cable. Now it just needs to be able to transfer power ...

Mamiya 645 80mm f 4.0 macro

Just received real cheap from Keh an ugly Mamiya 645 80mm f 4.0 macro. Most of the stuff I get from Keh that they call ugly is pretty good condition, but this one is ugly, mostly just brassing, but definitely not looking new like lots of their stuff. These old Mamiya 645 C lens are built of solid metal, quite sturdy, and generally satisfactory from an optical standpoint. They do not adapt to Pentax 645, so only usable on K-1 or K-3 type cameras, so now I got to try it out and see if it does the job. No hood with this bad boy, but it is built in a way that the outer glass is recessed to the inside of the lens by about 1 1/2 inches so it is self-hooding.

Then I got a K28/3.5 Shift Lens from MightyMike that actually has caps and a case - for 35% less.

It can. PoE = Power over Ethernet. Usually just reserved for IP based phones though. There is a PoE to HDMI extender as well.

PoE isn't over WiFi, Kobie, it's over Ethernet cabling.

When you pick up your handset from its Ethernet powered base station, it's electricity isn't coming from WiFi but a battery inside it.

That's why you have to return it to the base station, to recharge.

I had the 28mm shift back in the film era, used primarily on an LX. Too d--- big to carry about unless I was certain I wanted it for a particular shot. The Canon TSS I had for a few years was more compact, sharper, easier to use, and it had tilt, which I found useful for DOF more often than I needed shift to correct perspective.

Misread what you meant. PoE to Wifi power Transmitter to Wifi power receiver... Hmmmmmm *Grabs sketch book and starts looking at patent applications* Kidding lol
