Just bought FA* 85 portrait. Paypay credit so I can smooth it out. Great price perfect condition.

I don’t need to wait for the modern 85 at 1500, 1800.

31, 43, 77, amigos! Normal 50. Now 85. The k-1 kit lens. I’m done. May do a wide angle later as we travel. Not sure.

All APSC stuff going on marketplace as discounted bundles. Soon.

K-3 k-5 grips lenses telephoto.

The above my setup. Will add no more other than a super wide. Maybe

This package arrived on Friday, but I discovered it only on Saturday. Someone put it on my table... By the way, do you prefer to know what's in the package, or be surprised? The seller used an unorthodox way to package the lens... And I just realized that I don't have a photo of the lens itself, so that would have to wait until I get home.
A very interesting packaging idea. Must remember. Also good for baggage packing when traveling. Even with weight restrictions.

Thank you for using order of magnitude correctly! I want to scream when so called knowledgeable people use order of magnitude when they just mean a value multiplier. There is a big difference!

You are welcome. We all have our pet annoyances. Mine is any variation on "very unique'.

The DFA ZOOMS are just to bulky and heavy for me to use with K-1, so I’m selling* them the DFA15-30 this weekend, I’ll convert to the DA* ZOOMS with the KP, since the Accelerator Chip makes indoor grandchild snaps much better without flash. The K-1 will be for the manual lenses only, which was the original plan.

Recently acquired used
  1. DA*16~50/2.8 screwdrive (It’s plenty fast focusing) - really old serial number.
  2. DA*50~135/2.8 working SDM MIB Probably a 2009 Serial Number.
Bet you can’t guess what’s coming next

*Rather, I am keeping the 24-70 and 70-200 and selling the FA*200/2.8 and a slew of duplicate FA Limiteds and probably the 28-105. I'll just have to learn to deal with the 70-200 and a monopod. It's just too good. The 50-135 makes a beautiful photograph on KP. but oh my goodness is it slow to focus. The SDM works but all you get is silence, not speed. The 16-50 is nice, but really not even as good as bigger brother

The 15-30 is listed..

My DA* 16-50 still has working SDM after 11 years of faithful service. My 50-135 died. In a snit I sold it off. Not much later I regretted doing that. It would have been fine as a manual lens, and as an 85-230 semi-AF using the AFA1.7x. And now it could easily be using screw drive on the K-3.

Re the bet: I wonder if you are into landscapes – if you are I can heartily recommend the DA 12-24/4.

I like the water bottle packaging - a few years ago I had to pack a huge CD copying machine for sending by courier, I ended up using five or six water bottles at the ends as a substitute for the giant bubble packing material, plus big bags of crumpled newspaper. Got to the buyer safely, which is what counts.

Today was another interesting one - another car boot sale, where I got 870mm of lens for £45!

Two Bell and Howell large-format projector lenses, I think for a 6x6 slide projector - the big one is 300mm and came with the wooden box and a condenser, the smaller one is 200mm. They both have these long metal tubes and screw in and out for several inches, so would be very suitable for the people who like to use projector lenses for photography. The need a good clean, but for £15 for the two I'm not complaining!
A Sigma 100-300 AF 4.5-6.7 for Nikon - very clean and working well - for £20
and a Sony 18-70 which is partially working - manual focus only but focus confirm and metering are fine. Not sure what that's about, but it cost a tenner and I can't really return it so I'll sell it for spares/repairs and keep my fingers crossed. It's the risk you take with this sort of sale.

The 330ml can is there to show scale, I think it's a more convenient measuring unit than cookies for these big lenses.

Also a working 100mb Zip drive for £3, they're usually good for £15-£20 on eBay, there must be a LOT of people with legacy systems out there.
