Made by Komine. Haven't tested it yet but can already say build quality doesn't feel is good as two other Vivitar Zooms I own (Series 1 70-210 F3.5 and 75-205 F3.8 both made by Kiron)

Did a few shots with it. Has better wide open contrast and sharpness than the Pentax-m 80-200mm 4.5 I got recently:

Not very surprising since it has 58mm filter diameter as opposed to the 52mm of the Pentax. Aperture turns out to be sticky though...

Spent the last of some cash I got from the work as part of a long service award on a set of Fotodiox bellows. They arrived today and I had a quick play to ensure they were light-tight and would actually work, a quick check around the house failed to find any recently deceased flies so I had to make do with a couple of test shots of some pocket change. Decent magnification at the maximum, but it just goes to show I now need to be very careful with focusing and depth of field.

Just bought a new in box K-50 with the DA-L 18-55mm and 50-200mm kit lens for a friend of mine. She is starting photography and thought that the K-50 would be a great starter camera. Can't believe I picked up the whole thing for $300 !!! Still bubble wrapped---looking forward to presenting this to her for her Birthday--I think she's gonna love it. I took some of my best pics with the K-50....

The new (to me) K-1 arrived in today's mail! So far it's as nice as the seller described. 2 batteries, 3x32gb SD cards, grip, charger, paperwork, etc. included with the K-1. I('ve already tried out the F35-105, F50/1.7, FA28-105 PZ, Vivitar 19/3.8, and my F70-210! Am really enjoying this FF. Guess I'll be putting my K3 and some other gear up for sale soon.......

What a deal!! And what a lovely gesture, too. That's a very fine kit for her to start with, and the K-50 gives her plenty of room to grow

I know..in the box...I'm tempted to give her my low mileage K-S2 and keep the K-50 but, I already have the K-5ii with that great 16.3 MP super sensor and I need more control that the K-5ii has ...but I'm looking forward for her to take some pics and join the Forum...growing the Pentax Brand one person at a time., Once they go Pentax, they get it...Cheers Mack...

I'd keep the K-3, there are times when APS-c is your friend....

Ah, but that is what the K-5iis would be for.......

I'm also going to sell my very low mileage K-01 in yellow and a WhiteQ plus some lenses to offset the cost of the K-1 and grip.

This lens was on a Pentax Honeywell Spotmatic. The lens is in excellent clean condition inside and out.
I paid $5.00 for the lens and camera. The camera seems to be working, but I'll sell it as is or for parts or repair.
Took this pic of my girl Izzy with the lens on my K-3.

The 50mm f4 macro Takumar, one of the very early dedicated macro lens and my first in the original pre-set version, is still capable of making excellent images.
