You make an excellent point. My old Dodge Ram dually truck was full to overflowing, so it must have been cubic yards. I beg you to understand that this was simply a slip of the tongue, so to say, and not a glaring knowledge gap. :>)

Curiously, in Australia the quantity it seems you obtained would have been called "3 yards", although with metric the nearest equivalent would be "3 metres".

Another OK day in the car boot mines, nothing remarkable but OK stuff which will make a reasonable profit

Canon Eos 500 body with their odd 38-76mm lens for £8.00 - might have slight fungus in the lens which wasn't visible until I took a look with a UV light, I'll know more once I've cleaned it properly.
An Auto Miranda EC 1.8 50mm with their breech mount for £7.00 - nice and clean and appears to work well
Mirage 3.5 / 200 M42 screw for £7.50 - clean and working well
A set of six 55m effects filters and a baseplate for a Nikon MB3 with two battery holders for £3
An APS x2 / x3 converter for M42 for £3
and a film shield lead-lined bag for £1

Also a firewire 400 hub and a couple of cables for £2.50

later - looking through my junk box I just found a set of M44 extension tubes with a Miranda lens adapter on the end, which I'll throw in with the lens. May make it more desirable, I hope.

B50 Adapter for Carl Zeiss Ultron 1,8 50mm m42 mount. That is the lens with the concave front element. It doesn’t have filter threads. It has a bayonet mount for the lens cap and hood (super expensive). With this adapter I can mount threaded filters or an aftermarket hood.

It produces some beautiful bokeh if you ask me...

Yes, it is a special lens. I got it in deplorable condition and had it completely disassembled, cleaned and lubed, and reassembled. I left the exterior finish untouched. I had no idea the value of this lens. The prices seen on eBay while looking for the hood are shocking.

I got one in an excellent condition and for cheap. But it's in Icarex mount, so I can't adapt it to PK...

We say the same here. A yard from a gravel site is a cubic yard.

Arrived Saturday Meike 50mm f1.7 for my Fuji XE2s, and today Vivitar Series 1 28mm f1.9, for my K3, and possibly KX film camera - though not a huge fan of 28mm on 35mm. The Meike was reduced due to a blemish on the barrel to a very reasonable £80, and the Vivitar was £110. Not bad for a lens that was supposed to sell for the equivalent of $1000 in today's money.

This probably sounds very mundane, but I was driving past a Cash Converters shop today. They had no Pentax gear except a very early digital *ist-D with a first-gen 18-55 zoom. Taking up space at the front of the cabinet were three never-used items - a Kenko digital Cir PL 52mm, an unbranded 58mm Variable ND, and a Marumi 52-58mm step-up ring - all priced at $2 each and with retailer stamps dated Nov 2018. The Cir-PL would be great with my K55mm, K24mm, M200mm and M80-200mm, so that's good. The variable ND is one I have never experimented with, so here goes! The stepping ring will help spread the load for my Grad-ND 58mm. So all items useful, unblemished and working perfectly, for a total of $6!

Sweet performer... suffers a bit from sticky apertures...

Mine did and I was unable to open it from the back to access the aperture mechanism to clean it. I ended up having to cut off the lever, making it fully manual (no wide open focus). It is still a charm.

D FA 150-450mm f4.5-5.6ED DC AW

Just got my hands on this bad boy yesterday. I got to use it for a short while in-between storms that were rolling through Oklahoma. Sharp as a knife, even at 450mm. Colors right out of camera are fantastic too. I took this shot for a blog post of mine over at thepentaxpioneer.com. The lens can certainly be used handheld and I nailed some good shots with it that way, but it really sings when it is placed on a tripod. I used it with my Fotopro Eagle Series EGL-65 and gimbal head. I cannot wait to get out and use it some more.
