I got a M 50mm 2, and a K1000 SE for $2.50.
I didn't need it, but for that price. . . .

Found this "rare" Sigma 28mm 2.8 Non-Vignetting. Looks like a mini-wide II but isn't. (Little aperture window)

It does seem to have some kind of strange haze in it but it looks minty otherwise. will have to see how it plays out in photo's.
That is a strange one - I've never heard of this lens and it doesn't have an entry in the lens database her on PF. It does look very like the mini-wide, I wonder if it has the same optics.

It is a redesign of the mini-wide lenses to minimize vignetting, It also has very little swirl as a result of that (Bummer )

SIGMA had created a wide-angle lens with very little vignetting and – an additional plus – without the unsightly swirly bokeh pattern caused by vignetting of out-of-focus areas.

I won't be reviewing this one unless I manage to clean the haze has, It is highly detrimental to contrast.

The Vivitar 35-70 1:3.5 (Komine) with the stuck focus (refunded by seller) I acquired recently was also suffering from kind of mediocre contrast. I have an idea why:

I found another one for cheap that looks pristine on eBay and is sold by a real brick and mortar store.

My last Amigo (the 43mm Limited) arrived today. It looks pristine and after a few hurried shots in the garden just to make sure it all worked as it should I think I can see why the trio enjoy their stellar reputation.

That's it - I'm all done for lenses...........

My LBA is getting harder to keep in check. I scored an Olympus 14-42mm kit zoom for about USD5. Quite a bargain. The problem is, I don't have an Olympus body to go with it.

yeah but it was only $5 You can always reverse mount it on a K mount and try to shoot macro's with it

A Pentax MZ-7 with 28-80 FA 3.5-5.6 for £15; got it from the same street trader that sold me a Mamiya Porroprism a couple of months ago - that made a good profit so I took a chance. The lens turns out to be clean and working well, won't know about the body until I can find some working CR2 batteries.

LifeLine apparatus so that when my wife faints, it calls the emergency people all by itself. It takes over the land line when it goes off, so nothing else can be on the line ahead of it. That occasioned the telephone people creating a clean single line to it. I then added an answering machine, a base phone and 3 satellites that all take only one line into the LifeLine. The house dates from 1982 and we have several metres (yards) of surplus phone lines for me to dig out of the walls. C$ 61/mo for the LifeLine service and C$ 100 once for the new phone system.
