isn't the K-5 IIs just a sweetheart of a camera? I love both of my K-3's, but the K-5 body was just about the perfect DSLR design for my hands...

even with the grip, it never feels ponderous or large...
From my fooling around shots I can tell I’m going to really enjoy using this’d camera. It is petite.

I wandered the web in search of yet another Pentax foothold. I found a keh-outlet k200d in silver - wow I never knew it came in silver!
Then I found a local copy of the K-5 Silver Special, lightly used and nicely priced. Ah but now I'll need at least one silver lens!

It will be interesting to feel the redesigned Special grip, hopefully I'll like it!
I also feel the K-5 is nearly ideal, and I owned several '5 variants so the controls are very familiar to me.

I already opened up my Vivitar 70-150mm with it and cleaned the front group. Luckily the contamination was on the back of it. Now I just have to correct the tilt shift effect the lens has due to the crooked barrel...

We just upgraded our iPhone from the 5C to the XR. The battery on mine was dying and my wife was always running out of memory on hers. I don't care much for the size, but it is faster. She is a much more intense user of the phone's features than I am. I miss flip phones. Much more handy and easier to carry on your person.

Did you check out the SE? That’s what I use currently. I don’t want anything bigger and the performance is great!

A very clean Pentacon 135 2.8 auto M42, with its original box and caps. Paid £15, more than usual, because of the box and because it was a charity shop, but I ought to come out ahead.

I currently have a 4S 32gb and really ought to change it - the battery is not wonderful and the repair shop I asked about this says replacements aren't available any more (I suspect that they just don't want to do it, they get more for fixing a recent model). What I really want is one that has an FLIR camera add-on available, so 5 and up. Don't want anything really expensive or super-fast, just something that works.

super!! these are great lenses! have them both although the k mount version of the 16 with no color filters (that I remember anyways) just the clear which is certainly needed

the 16 is tough to tell its a fisheye on a crop body but really shows up on full frame.....a great star trails lens.....it does reward when focused and exposed properly not very forgiving when either is off....

the 85 is awesome!

happy shooting!
Thank you Aaron, I agree with you on everything you said

Yes, the 85 is something exceptional for portrait shots ... or else

I sold my jupiter 9 and have regretted it... Keep thinking I should get one, but I already have more lenses than I can use... Well, that never stopped me from getting a lens in the past
If you can't forget it, it means that you need another one copy , the ratio cost/quality of this lens is unbelievable !

Yashica electro 35 G......cleaner than most I receive but will 'clean up' anyways......waiting on battery adapter to actually see if it works.....it does cock & fire which is encouraging....should be a fun 'P&S'

Dumbest thing I ever did was sell a MIB version of this lens that I personally bought new. Now I am complete again.

Of course I have to thin the herd to pay for it - and put that empty feeling back in the pit of my stomach.

I don't feel any envy at all over this lens. Probably because I don't know what it is.
Yikes! Frankenpost!

Vivitar Series 1 P/KA 105/2.5 Macro. Native 1:1. In 2010 there was an insatiable cult following of this lens and its Lester Dine variant and Dental Macro variant. They still have a following, but the values have dropped 50% since then.

I still have the lens.

Vivitar 24mm f2.8 in PKA mount, so works in full auto exposure on my K-70 This is from a reliable local seller, same person who sold me the Vivitar 135mm (Komine).

This looks exactly to be the Cosina MC macro 24mm: Cosina 24mm f/2.8 MC MACRO Lens Reviews - Cosina Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

From a few quick tests this is sharp, very sharp, best demonstrated by a couple of close-up shots. No noticeable flare, but today I do not have any sunlight to be really certain, so no attachments for infinity focus yet. More experimentation over the next few days - I am heading out into the desert where I will have bright sun and wild landscapes (the use for which this lens appealed).

Looks really nice - I recently acquired a Vivitar 24/2.8 Tokina (TX -> M42) - I am happy with it, good solid performer. Yours looks a bit more modern and compact, do you know the maker (SN)?

I am convinced it is a Cosina. If you check the review for the Vivitar MC macro and read the most recent review by user bygp (and reposted under the Cosina link from earlier), the similarities are convincing:
Vivitar 24mm f2.8 Auto-aperture MC close-focusing Lens Reviews - Vivitar Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

My lens looks identical except that the aperture markings are all white. 52mm thread, 5 blades, PK-A/R mount (with the ball not the Ricoh pin), and the SN section has the word Japan, with a 97XXXXXX serial number.
