GAS Strikes when a good deal appears!

I went Full Frame last Thursday and she arrived today. The FA* 80-200 is big and heavy but they go together like Peanut butter and Bananas! (Random Elvis reference there!)

Shrunken in Dxo: Missy Peepers Laying in a horribly backlit window with my Litra LED for a bit of fill and catchlight.

The last image was down sampled a great deal since even cropped so heavily, it was over 3K px on the long side.

Miranda auto sensorex EE in decent condition.....shutter seems good..light meter responsive not sure of accuracy ballpark has the fstop needle meter....something is loose rattling around in the removable prism housing and will slide off without use of the switch....focusing seems fine...an edge of the leatherette need some glue at the door hinge.....should look nice after sprucing it up

Miranda FV the shutter has a few issues but ronsonol fluid is helping with this and believe it will work itself out...its at 1/30, x-sync(1/45) and 1/60.....also came with a miranda T prism housing which is a light meter which is responsive but I need to figure out how to read the scale.....whats neat is the reading gets locked into place after taking it....its really cool and can be used on the DR and sensomat bodies.... should look fantastic after sprucing it up

New 2-Car Garage Door (on the way August 20). Sigh. Deposit equivalent to a KP and the total about the same as a K-1ll.

I suppose I’ll be posting on the de-acquisition thread for a while and the prospects of the 85/1.4 just went down dramatically. It is probably time to bite the bullet and sell all the DA lenses and most of the collection except the K lenses. There are worse things than using the FA Limiteds on KP instead of the DA Limiteds.

Both cars were trapped in the garage. Since I bought a garage door they waived the $377 emergency after-hours service call fee. I had no idea garage doors were that expensive - I’ve lived here 23 years and it supposedly was 16 years old when we bought the house, so we got our money worth anyway..

In addition to the garage door, I had just paid forthis afternoon a very clean FA20~35/4. I’ve looked at those for years. There was a NOS one at my local camera store that I had been dickering over but they wouldn’t budge from $665. I subsequently referred a member who had put in a Wanted post and it disappeared from their website that evening.

Modern 55mm instead of classic 35mm? Close enough.

Accidentically bought a Tamron 135mm 2.8 adapt-a-matic where I 'assumed' it was an adaptall-2 (partly because of the adaptal-2 mount it doesn't have). I already had a 200mm adapt-a-matic so I didn't necessarily need that adapter again.
no matter. It is still supposedly a good lens and a worthy addition to my collection on 135mm lenses.

My latest failed acquisition was an Auto-Takumar 55mm f2.2. Trying to keep an eye amongst tasks in work meant I went to increase my maximum bid at exactly the wrong time, too close to the end, and subsequently missed out on someone who 'sniped' me.
Congratulations to whomever procured it! A stellar price - I'd likely have missed out depending on their maximum bid anyway but safe to say, I'm frustrated with myself.

Unfortunately this is a example of rubbing salt directly into the wounds!

I'm sure whoever bagged it will be very pleased with it; it looked a nice example.

Now to try and find something that will fill the void...
