another decent day - got

A Sony DT 50/8 SAM for Sony A (possibly some Minolta AF too, I need to check if it covers the full frame) for £20 - clean and working well
A Canon EFS 18-55 ultrasonic for £5 - glass badly needed an external clean but is OK underneath - for a fiver
A chipped Olympus OM to Canon EF adapter and a rear lens cap for Olympus 4/3 for £2

Also an Apple USB keyboard for £6 - working well but US layout, not UK - and a graphics calculator for £2

later - the Sony lens is APS-C only.

Yes, APS-C... but a very decent little lens, and an absolute steal at £20!! Good catch

well... for the price I'd gotten a lot of glass; I just acquired a house 40 minutes away from Pennsylvania Station, NY. I am officially a Long Islander. My accent shall be developed. I will miss Central Park.

Yey!

thank you kindly, Dave. I looked around that area (Massapequa-Merrick) but was too far for commuting to the Bronx where I'm employed. We settled for a little house in Stewart Manor Village (Garden City) which is between the Floral Park/New Hyde Park/Garden City border... Now I have a laundry list of good stuff to do! Buh--bye flower photos!

Along the south shore? From the distance, along that LIRR route you'd be a little further out than the town where I grew up (Baldwin).

Arrived:

this was the sellers image...
Mine is a QZ-150m two touch. This one another single touch model... I bought it for the adaptall mount, so I don't really care. It seems to be a lens that was never used or sold. So old stock.

---------- Post added 16-09-19 at 15:36 ----------

And also this one arrived in the same box. Described as with marks on the rear element, which are actually on the mirror... Not very visible here. Look like fungus spots to me.

The seller has a store on Etsy (Rocky Camera's) sells a lot of adaptall stuff but is not very careful when describing stuff.

Amongst the overprice DA Limited lenses on Marketplace, FB, eBay and online camera retailers I scored two of the little gems at fair prices in one week. Thanks mostly to my recent sales of several surplus telephoto lenses, I had the funds to buy a HD DA 15/4 Limited in super nice condition for under $300. Four days later I was one of only two bidders on a no reserve DA SMC 21 Limited for under $200 shipped. I don’t have the 21 yet. The 15 Limited, al I can say is WOW, it is the best Wide angle I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned quite a lot of wide angle lenses.

To be fair, there's something cool about the 70s design aesthetic of the original Adaptall series, which the Adaptall 2 series lacks.

I bought a Helios 44-2 and the Auto-Takumar 55mm f/2.2 from there. The Auto-Tak is exquisite, but the Helios looks like it's been fiddled with in the past, and is now slightly loose somewhere along the line (I think it's a non-standard washer but could be way off).

Bordering Queens - I'm actually a bit more west than Baldwin is (towards the City) in Stewart Manor.
