I have the one-touch Adaptall-2 70-150 (20A), bought new in 1982, and it is a pretty sweet little lens capable of quite sterling results at f/5.6 and narrower.

Found a steal of a deal on a Sigma 85/1.4 which I've had for a few weeks, then a other killer deal for a Pentax AF-540 flash which should be here this week! Pretty excited about that flash.

That's almost as good a bargain as mine, which cost $00.00 once I sold off almost everything else that came with it, keeping just the camera and a genuine M42 to K adapter.

Well, it looks as though another lens should be on its way to me soon. The well-reputed A-50mm f/2.8 Macro.

Looking forward to seeing how this performs - I've been eyeing up another one which was in worse aesthetic condition and about 50% more expensive than the one I 'won' today.
It's an excellent lens, usable wide open with only a hint of glow when viewed at 100%. Much better made than the faster f/1.7 non-macro 50mm.

I have one "perfect" hood to share between my two copies of this lens (one in K mount, one in EF). It's not quite perfect enough to stop flare but it's better than nothing.

I did the same with my bargain bucket K-70. Came to £238 posted for a job lot with a swathe of lenses and a K-50 (aperture block), sold off some goodies (for cheap might I add, others gained from my bargain hunting) and part-traded the rest for a D-FA 100mm WR Macro which was listed at £250, lightly used. The sales and part-trade covered the value of the lot and postage, so the K-70 cost nothing!
More than that, the D-FA and K-70 combo only cost me £250!

Another bargain, too, I think (hope)! Just shy of £65 posted, but I'll reserve judgement for when it arrives. Then I'll have some decisions to make - which of the 50's I've accumulated will stay? DA50/1.8, SMC-A 50/1.7, SMC-M 50/1.4, Auto-Tak 55/2.2, Helios 44-2 and now this..!?

Good guess!!! (for half of it). The camera was advertised as defect as the light-meter was not functioning.

It came today and the light-meter of the camera is functioning (batteries were not properly inserted)

The other lens is a Pentax-A Zoom 1:4 24-50 that has been beaten as the filter thread is bent and has 'floating elements'(will try to dismount it).

Not too bad for $50 including shipping.

If I was forced to, I'd let the A 50/1.7 go, and the DA 50/1.8 (very personal comment, as I do not really care for AF lenses at this time).

I've ogled at that thread (and your pictures too) for a little while after finding out about the 50mm f/2.8 Macro. Really looking forward to giving it an outing now - especially after the update that it's being posted as we speak!

I think I'd agree. Since acquiring the M50/1.4, Ive neglected the (admittedly easier to use) A50/1.7. The A-50/1.4 would be a true sweet-spot, but costs more than the A50/1.7 (£20 posted) or the M50/1.4 (£35 posted) that I've acquired along my journey.

This is true for the DA50/1.8 (£50 posted) too. It's sat prone while I've forced myself to improve a bit with manual focus. It actually felt strange picking it up the other day, but it does produce some great results and epic sharpness.
