not necessarily a 'latest acquisition' but a discovery of an older one...…

turns out a M42 lentar 135/f2.8 preset is T-mount....swapped out with a T to K adapter which is great as I prefer the Tmount to m42 seems more secure on camera and no risk of the problems associated with the m42 ring getting stuck on camera

however I am not convinced the proper registration distance is occurring as it focuses well past infinity which is not a deal breaker because rarely shoot infinity with a 135
I remove the spring clip from my M42 adapters, and permanently install them on the lens, using a small drop of Loctite 242 (blue) threadlocker. That way each M42 lens is made to be a permanent K mount lens. No muss, no fuss, and no stuck adapters.

(note that when I say "permanent", it isn't really, as Loctite 242 blue threadlocker is always removable, but it will keep the ring from unscrewing during normal mounting and dismounting of the lens(es) - don't use the Loctite 271 red, as it requires heat for removal, something one doesn't want on the camera mount)

A few thrift store acquisition from the last few weeks ... both for 3€, a very nice and working Olympus mju Zoom 105 plus a nice (but very dirty uncovered mirror) Canon EOS 630. Both needed just new batteries ... and one can still see the "3" price scrawled on the mount of the EOS EF ...

For 5€, some Agfa equipment. The shutter is not quite right on the Optima 1035, but I am trying it without the 3 P625 batteries needed. You can see the "3" € price on the viewfinder glass ... The flash marked 1€, I cannot get to work, while the "Agfatronic" flash (1€) works just fine with new batteries. Another project to maybe save the 1035 ...

have done this but need to be careful with certain lenses which are stiff......almost convinced myself to 'glue' the adapter in place but have gotten on a film kick and want to use most of those lenses on m42 bodies when I get around to running film through them

Just bought a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GF2 micro 4/3 body on eBay UK for £23 including postage. Claimed to be complete and working with battery and charger - we'll see what happens...

Hoping it's OK since I got the 4/3 to micro 4/3 adapter as an unexpected extra earlier this week, and I really want to give this a try as a test bed for lenses that won't work on anything else - e.g. Sigma lenses for Canon EF that give the dreaded error 99 on Canon bodies but can still be used on Micro 4/3 with the right adapter.

I forgot one of the cameras I bought today - a 1938 Kodak 35, their first 35mm camera, one of these

Unfortunately the cheaper f5.6 model in fairly poor condition, but not too bad for a fiver.

I finally bought some flash units for myself. I ended up getting both a AF360FGZ II and Metz 52 AF-1. Both were so well priced, I had to have both.

Leitz swing-out polarizer

Used on rangefinder cameras.

Typically overpriced Leica accessory.

Viscount....aires camera ind. japan....45/f1.9.....apparently there is a 80mm available for it...will hafta look that up

shutter seemed slow but working it seems to get it on pace....self timer works.....rangefinder seems ok on distances....has a good field case....should clean up nicely and will certainly see a roll of film.....

the only down side is the spring is bad for the film counter to return to start

That was THE camera I dreamed of having, to replace my Instamatic clone.
I would drool over the Mamiya/Sekor ads in National Geographic...

And the CPL has finally arrived... a few days ago. And from fiddling around with the Cokin holder, the CPL holder and the CPL, I've resigned myself to accept that the CPL can only be used on the front of the holder. I also have an ICE 10-stop ND coming in soon.

I have the later varient of the DTL, a 1000MSX (although it's the rebadged varient, a Sears TLS 1000 MX).
It's a nice little heafty slr, and it takes a common SR44 battery to boot which is great (though just needs a CLA, mirror hangs at slower shutter speeds)
