MF. Just shy of £40 with caps and case. Will buy a perfect hood to suit too.

Have seen two go recently for £70+...
£7 for a perfect hood, happy to pay that.
Also received an O-ME53 viewfinder magnifier today; what a difference it makes!
Oh, and another lens in the pipeline but it’ll be a short while before that ends up with me.

D FA 100mm/2.8 WR Macro and K-AC132U power supply for the K-1. Purchased off of these forums, of course! Still haven't had time to us 'em though :-(

Got this one last week:

SMC Pentax-A 1:1,7 50mm

And today I may have overdone it a little when I saw those Whisky specials on Amazon...

A fairly crappy car boot fair, but I did pick up a working 100mb Zip drive for a fiver, that's always a good seller. Amazing how many people are still using the things, or trying to recover data from the disks!

Just delivered yesterday was an early Christmas present from my wife, New Pentax K70 with 18-135 lens. Package deal from Cameta Camera. Amazing difference in clarity from my Kx. looking forward to having better resolution in my photos.

Buying a bit of a ‘pig in a poke’ bundle. A Ricoh XR10 and four Rikenon P lenses, 28/2.8, 50/1.4, 35-70/4 and a 105/2.8 with Vivitar 283 flash for $125 shipped. I didn’t want to ask too darn many questions and drive the price up, but I believe the 105 is the legendary macro lens by Kiron also sold as Vivitar Series One, Lester Dine and others. I should have the stuff Wednesday or Friday. I let her keep a pile of stuff, including a 400/6.3 preset to keep shipping costs down. Why pay someone to ship useless stuff you can’t resell or use!

Honestly, the Rikenon P 50/1.4 is the best lens of the lot. One of the sharpest K-mount 50’s ever. Stellar lens. 9.40 rated.

Hoping it is nice and clean, woman was using a track phone for photos, VGA resolution. I’ve had four Pentax 50/1.4 lenses and only the old M42 Super Takumar impressed me open above f2.8. My M 50/1.4 was a dog. The 28/2.8 seems to be a decent Rikenon too.

Another great Rikenon lens is the 50mm f2.0. You can usually get them for under $15 too. 9.33 rating here on the forum. Almost small enough to be considered a pancake lens.

What was wrong with it? I’ve never heard the M50/1.4 referred to as a dog - or really any Pentax 50. Were your expectations of the Pentax film era 50’/1.4s aligned with their design ethic? They’re generally considered superb lenses but weren’t deigned to be sharp across the frame wide open. That objective was reserved for the 55/1.8’s and 50/1.7’s. The 50/1.4’s were intentionally soft at the edges when open.

The 50/1.4 M I had, purchased new with the MX I got for my 16th birthday had serious contrast issues. Images shot at any aperture wider than f4 had to be printed with a #3.5 filter when all other frames taken with other lenses on the same roll of film printed easily with a 2.5. Also it was not sharp in the center until F4, and I know how to focus properly, having no issues with the K 85/1.8 I also used at that time. More than likely my M lens was not a good copy. I later bought a used 50/1.4 A lens which performed very nicely from F2 on. I should have kept that one but sold it back in the mid 2000s.

I sold my P 50/1.4 to another member but I kept the f/2 - It is equally sharp and colorful

I just received my first Pentax today. Wasn't expecting it until Tuesday. First time I've ever has more than a P&S. This should be an interesting and fun journey. I picked up a K-7 that seems to be in pretty good shape. I'll have to take it out tomorrow and see how it goes once I have a fully charged battery and some light. (I really wish they'd ring the doorbell when they drop stuff off at the house. I had no idea it was out there until I got back from picking my wife up from work.)

I bought a beautiful silver like new ZX-5n for 25 bucks to start to shoot film again...but the mirror motor is broke. Its still one of the best feeling cameras I have ever felt.

O=ME53 will never leave the viewfinder on my K-3, unless I get something newer when it will installed on the new box.
