DA 55-300 PLM ordered while I was on holiday, arrived the day after I got home.
Just sold my (first series) DA 55-300.
$412.50 less $179.50 = $233.00 net cost (plus sale expense)

This would have been a great deal at five times the price.
It was from a photo society member and I did tell him it was worth more but he would rather it goes to a good home. I think I just used up all my good luck

MF. Just shy of £40 with caps and case. Will buy a perfect hood to suit too.

Have seen two go recently for £70+...
Safely on my desk this morning. Has the very founding stages of fungus on the front element only as far as I can see... I've been fungally plagued lately with my purchases, so this is another kick in the gonads. It really does seem minor, however, so I'm tempted to undo the frontmost element and give a quick clean. Again, seller described as 'crystal clear' so I've winged them a message to tell them the reality is contrary to their description.

Shame really, as everything else seems sweet about it!

Edit: It takes a lovely picture, and a nice FOV with it too!

I wish the hood for my Adaptall 17/3.5 were this good...
if it is the original hood, I know how much of a pain it is... I ranted about it when I reviewed the lens....

Receipt of two more lenses today (note to self: slow down)!

One is a SMC-A 70-210mm f/4. Couple of test shots taken with it and I'm very pleasantly surprised. Lens is in absolutely stellar condition, too. Bargain for £18 posted! Will take some getting used to the push-pull zoom thing, but it's a breeze to use!

Also one other lens, this one is an absolute doozy. Easily the nicest focusing lens I have come across so far and it would take some doing to beat that accolade! Also my most expensive lens to date, but at a glance (and couple of test shots) worth every penny. I'll be taking a picture or 9 of it later and posting up... my words won't do it justice!

Buying a bit of a ‘pig in a poke’ bundle. A Ricoh XR10 and four Rikenon P lenses, 28/2.8, 50/1.4, 35-70/4 and a 105/2.8 with Vivitar 283 flash for $125 shipped. I didn’t want to ask too darn many questions and drive the price up, but I believe the 105 is the legendary macro lens by Kiron also sold as Vivitar Series One, Lester Dine and others. I should have the stuff Wednesday or Friday. I let her keep a pile of stuff, including a 400/6.3 preset to keep shipping costs down. Why pay someone to ship useless stuff you can’t resell or use!
The four kens Ricoh XR10 kit arrived today. Expertly packed and WOW! The camera, flash and all four lenses art totally MINT.
The lenses are what I'd hoped for, including the semi-legendary, 105mm f2.8 1:1 focusing Kino Precision made Macro lens. The 70mm is actually the very small 70-210 f4.5-5.6 macro Rikenon P.

I can't wait to try out the 50/1.4 and the 105 Macro. The zoom will be great on the Q system, as all my other telephoto zoom are big.
Every lens focuses in the Proper Pentaxian rotation too.

The returned package arrived anyway. Paypal also printed my phone number so the post company called me for my house number which was missing. The unpleasant surprise was the lens is shaped like an Mamiya/Sekor SX lens even if it doesn't say so on the name plate. Also no A/M switch grmbl so now I have to file down an extending aperture ring and somehow fix the aperture pin.

The SMC-A 70-210mm f/4 is my favorite zoom for photographing moving trains because of the one touch zoom/focus ring.
Pentax autofocus is basically worthless when a subject is coming toward the camera at a quartering angle anyhow, so manual focus isn’t a problem. PS I can’t wait to see your doozy!

I had a Ricoh 50mm f1.4 for my two Ricoh XRM bodies. The mechanics of the lens were outstanding. Focusing was silky smooth without the faintest hint of looseness. But optically the lens was disappointing. I kept thinking I was missing focus or my morning caffeine was degrading the image, but in fact, at least the copy I had was not all that good.
