Well, this counts as a "new" acquisition for me ... I converted my Mamiya 55/1.4 to a M42 fit the will fit on my K-1 and others. As you may know, Mamiya M42 lenses will not easily mount on K-mount without removing the flange at the base on the lens plus the aperture index pin.

So, I dissembled the base, cover it with electrical tape to protect the threads, etc. and went after it with a file. Here are the preliminary results and it's just a hair shy of infinity which is no big deal for me ... not planning to use this lens for landscape, but maybe later I will modify again.

DA* 11-18mm! I'm excited to crack out my big-ass tripod and filters and the whole shebang. Just waiting for some snow...

After getting a zx-5, I got a Super Program with a smc-a 50 f1.7 and a comiscar 28mm and 70-200 for 40 dollar. I'm trying to collect all the unloved Pentax of history

Today's car boot sale haul - everything photographic on a seller's stall for £5

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P73 with three memory sticks, 16 and two 256mb, six rechargeable AA batteries, and case - the camera is dead and full of corrosion so I binned it, but the sticks are fine and 256mb sticks are expensive, I'll keep them for the next Sony cameras I sell that can use them. I just put the batteries (not the ones that leaked) on charge, don't yet know if they work properly.

Olympus Camedia C-460 with 128mb XL card and case - working
Camedia 410 with case - working but power switch is broken and won't switch off, no cards etc. Adding to the next "big box of faulty crap" sale I run.
Canon Ixus M1 - APS camera - has film and a battery in it, but it's flashing an error message - I'll give it to someone who collects APS, it really isn't something that interests me.
Kodak Brownie 44A roll film camera - working but it's 127 film so a bit useless, someone will probably pay a couple of pounds for it
Plus a Hama case for another small camera and a small Tamron lens case, not sure what it fits.

I think there's one final car boot sale next Saturday, after that I hibernate until 2020!

The Super Program is fairly well-loved. The other stuff...not so well-loved.

These are two really beautiful tools! Especially, the joiner's mallet looks great. Is there some oil finish on it?
The joiner's mallet just has boiled linseed oil on it. If it starts to get ugly I might change my mind. I put some spar urethane on the cobbler's hammer because it was handy. There's a fine line between protecting the wood and making the handle too slippery.

Yeah, the last thing you want happening is to accidently become Thor when using it lol

BLO is pretty good as a "general use" finish and sometimes gives great results - I rarely use anything more.

I got a Canon EOS 300V, a camera I've wanted to get hold of for a while, for a very good price and I don't think it's ever been used. There isn't a mark on it and the strap is still in it's plastic bag. I put the 50mm f/1.8 STM on it for this photo instead of the 28-90mm mark II kit lens it came with. I just wish the camera was black.

I would think it might depend on if you want to hammer with it, or throw it.

smc PENTAX-A 1:3.5 15mm

I know Allen will ask. Seller’s original photo.
The lens is here and it is exquisite! Virtually unmarked. It came with a fitting leather case, though a generic Pentax version so I’m not certain it is the original. The seller sent it in a padded mailing bag with no other protection! I was horrified and tested it extensively. All functions seem to work OK and it seems sharp enough at 100% magnification so I guess I got lucky - and the case did its job.

I really have a group of very nice K lenses now

I had a Super A (as the Super Program was known is some parts of the world). I loved it a whole lot. I sold it to go autofocus (on film) and still got good money for it!

That A 50/1.7 is a great lens. Some say that it is sharper the A 50/1.4. There is a little plastic thingy underneath the aperture ring that breaks after a few decades but it is an easy fix.

You could spray it black, as suggested. But then the logos would be black on black. It would be stealthy but I don't think it would be a good look.

. . . no hood and no box, just the two original caps but I will use this one:

FWIW, I switched to a screw on hood after mine fell off a few times. It seems that a slight brush against clothing is enough to dislodge it.

I bought a Spotmatic II lot to get this lens. S-M-C Takumar 85-210 f4.5 with hood, caps, case and close-up diopter. Really superb condition. The lens is light, but it looks like a bazooka compared to later Pentax telephoto zooms such as the SMC-M version shown as a comparison.
