Back in June I bought a Ryobi 40v battery-powered lawn mower and it's quite good - similar power to a low-end gas one. One 5Ah battery is only good for half the yard, but I'm OK with that.

Made way for this beast. Notably larger than the K-70 but not uncomfortably so. Feels good in the hand.
Interesting change of perspective with my current crop of lenses... Everything is so much wider! Looking forward to getting to grips with it.

Edit: It has 45,000 actuations but was a steal and is rugged enough to take that in its stride, along with the few photos I'll put on it intermittently. Looks as though it's had an unmodified Sigma lens attached at some point (doesn't bother me) but everything else is pristine really. No scratches or dusts on the mirror or sensor, no scratches on either screen. Joio.

Yes and they are pretty impressive. I just got a magazine that tested a bunch of different brands. One of their tests was driving 2 inch long 5/8" lag bolts into a pine 4x4, something I wouldn't even try with any of my old drills. The DeWalt could drill 51 holes with a 1" spade bit through a 2x6. I bet my old drill would give up after 5. Also shorter and lighter than older technology. I believe the DeWalt system allows you the option of using a 60 volt battery if you need it to last longer.

an SMC A 20/2.8
Is the main driver for your purchase your this consistent preference for quality A series lenses?

Or did you find the Tokina 17mm disappointing, so you moved on quickly?

I am a bit jealous, I have never seen a 20mm Pentax A, but I expect it to be better than the Tokina

I managed to grab a 1960's lens testing chart for £12 - just hang it up on your wall and it folds out from floor-to-ceiling (almost) - and has focusing marks on the center panel. It also came with four spare panels to put at the corners of your shot.

I also picked up a 1930's AVO light mighter for £1.25.

Can't beat functional vintage kit!

a bit of both, plus a third option - on first blush, the SMC A 20/2.8 is superior to the Tokina 17mm, enough so that I am considering the sale of the Tokina.... and I do prefer the convenience and quality of the A series lenses...

the third: I was considering one of the three (to begin with) - SMC A 20/2.8, Voigtlander Color Skopar 20/3.5, or a CZJ MC Flektogon 20/2.8 - this price for the SMC A 20 was just too sweet to pass up and probably saved me an additional $350 over the other two lens under consideration...

I would be surprised if any 20v drill could accept a 60v battery. The batteries for hand tools have different mounting flanges/slots based on voltage so that a 20v battery cannot be attached to an 18v drill, nor can a 20v drill accept an 18v battery, they simply will not fit, made so they won't fit because the wiring in the drill may overheat if the wrong voltage is applied. Also, the voltage should primarily impact power, not longevity. For longer run time you'd want a 20v battery with a higher amperage rating, which almost always means a battery that is physically bigger & heavier, but such batteries are available up to an amperage that will make the drill + battery a really hefty handful.
