My latest acquisitions are a Pentax X-5 bridge camera as I found one for about $20 including shipping.
I picked up several front lens pinch covers for 49mm, 52mm, and 58mm lenses that will eventually get here from China.
And my big pickup was a Pentax DA 50-200. I got outbid on the DA 18-55. Which I'm thinking might be a good thing as I think a DA 18-55 WR would be a better option.
I'm debating on making a triple digit lens purchase and getting the DA 18-135 WR, but I'm not sure.
My wife went looking for something lighter than a DSLR and ended up buying an X-5 because I am SO PENTAXIAN she thought I would divorce her if she bought a N-something. (Nope, but a C-something would make my blood boil).

Just got a couple of job lots on eBay - one of them includes several manual zooms and a 500mm mirror lens (unfortunately with a badly dented filter mount) for just over £30 including delivery, the other is a load of small accessories including leica extension tubes, a right-angle finder, and lots of fiters, for just under a tenner. I suspect that the cheap lot will be better value, but I think it was worth taking a little gamble to see what I end up with. More once they arrive.

In less good news the buyer for one of the Nikon 28-100mm lenses I mentioned has backed out after the auction ended - he bid pounds thinking it was Brazilian currency, and thought he was getting it for the equivalent of £8.95... Words fail me... - and someone who bought a DSLR from me last week says it was DOA and is returning it. Fun fun fun...

My only complaint with the Pentax X-5 that I didn't notice when I bid on it, it doesn't have AV or TV modes, though the older model does have them. So, now I'm a bit disappointed as I was hoping to have a nice bridge camera for myself in addition to one for my oldest (I was going to compare the Pentax X-5 to the GE Power X-5 and possibly give them the better of the two) but now I think I'm probably just going to resell this Pentax X-5. It seems like a nice camera that's probably a good bit better than a cheap P&S, but it's not the intro into more photographic control that I wanted to introduce to my oldest.
Almost picked up a K10d for about $20, but the bidding picked up in the last hours and it went for a normal price.

Last week the postman delivered my recently-acquired Minolta Autocord. Until then, the only TLR on the shelf was the Yashica 44 which not amused by the new arrival. The autocord is in decent condition, but does have an overly stiff focus helicoid, so off it will go to Karl Bryan to get that and a few other things addressed.

SMC-M 85mm f/2. Described as having a hazy rear element. I didn't consider any element separation so bought for £50. Received, dismantled, cleaned with naphtha... haziness still there... IPA... haziness reduced but not gone... acetone, ah! There we go. Clean now. Otherwise, the lens is spotless (less a bit of paint removal on my behalf during disassembly) but it takes beautiful pictures!

There are plenty on ebay, though they're all third party, but they're cheap. I got one with two third-party batteries a few years ago. The batteries were rubbish and I no longer use them but the charger still works and I keep it as a spare.

Just got a nice little surprise added to my Super-Tak 200/4

In original box M42 Vivitar series 1 35-85 2.8 - the reviews here are tough = the few shots I've taken today with it seem to make it an OK lens - I am aiming its use at 85 for the bokeh. Yes it is not sharp, but sharpness is not everything in photography.

For a second, I almost thought you were saying it was fully compatible with my K-7, and I thought there had to be something wrong, so I re-read it.

From what you posted, it appears I would actually be able to focus with my K-7, which I didn't think it could do, but I'd be stuck with the lens fully open all the time, which isn't what I want to go for all the time. So I currently still stand by my thoughts to not try and find a PLM, not only due to cost but also compatibility.

(Though, I might have to check and see if you still have that K-3 sitting around in a month or so when I find out if I have any spare money after tax season is over which would open the door for the PLM.)
The PLM works pretty well on my K-5IIs wide open! Not what everybody wants or needs, but if it is available and handy in a pinch!

I picked up a genuine one on eBay. I saw several, of the original 3 pin designs and some where I couldn't tell if it was 3 or 4 pin. I found one that I could see was the 4 pin variety. I don't have any of the 4 pin batteries, but I figured if I was going to buy a Pentax charger, I'd buy the latest as the old batteries fit in the new charger, but the new 4 pin batteries don't fit in the old charger.

Apollo 11 Lunar Lander -- Lego Creator kit 10266

I was born at the advent of the space age, and followed the space programs keenly as a youngster and teenager. This kit was a Christmas gift in 2019! 1087 pieces. It complements my Apollo 11 Saturn V launch vehicle (1969 pieces).
