Just got a lightweight Manfrotto monopod from Amazon. I figure it will be light and small enough to carry around when I don't want to lug a tripod with me.

and helpful, perhaps, to establish a certain amount of " social distancing "

Excellent idea, I only hope it does not carry the "Ugly" rating

Well I ordered a monopod stock rest for my precision rifle and a new remote for our TV. Our Vizio 37" TV is now 10 years old and still going strong. The remote has been limping along for awhile now and needs to be replaced. Believe it or not, it is the only TV we have in the house.

SFAIK my mother is the only person in my family going way, way back who survived to a greater age than mine. All of my grandparents were gone before my parents even met.

update

deliveries yesterday and today of loose leaf teas:

Darjeeling,

Irish Breakfast,

Earl Grey,

English Breakfast and

a House Again Tea Ball Infuser & Cooking Infuser, Extra Fine Mesh Tea Infuser Threaded Connection, for Single Cup

and an Official Glencairn Scottish Whisky Glass Engraved with 'My Heart is in the Highland's' Robert Burns Quote | Made in Scotland as well ]

however as Robert Burns wrote:

the Earl Grey has a used by date of 06/Dec/2019 ( I complained to Amazon and secured a full refund and told not to send it back )

I decided to use some Glenfiddich 15 year old Single Malt Scotch to try out the Glencairn glass

and the cork stopper broke in half

got it out but there is a " little more body ( cork fragments ) " in the bottle then there was before

And all you wanted was a nice cup of tea and glass of Single malt Scotch. Now you will have to wait for your Earl Grey tea and have to search out some old nylons to filter out the excess cork of your Scotch.

Edit: Oh I see you have already figured how to decork your Scotch. Well I'll leave my solution in my post, in case you may need to employ that method at a later date.

Turned 74 on 3/21. Both my parents died before that age. I had a maternal grandpa live to 90, he smoked and drank whisky all his life, paternal grandma made 98. My maternal grandma died in her fifties but had heart problems caused by childhood diseases. My paternal grandpa lived to only 65. He worked as a furnaceman in a stainless steel plant most of his life, was at the 1st battle of the Somme and Ypres lived through the great depression. I'm convincing myself that environment has a lot to do with it. So I'm shooting for 98 as the number to beat.

My Paternal Grandfather died at 83 ... in a landslide after walking 2 miles to the store and back to get his pipe tobacco Christmas Eve 1963. The cliff near the foot of which he lived collapsed after heavy rains.

My Paternal Grandmother died in her 60's in a mental home. She broke during the depression

My father was born 15 Jan 1905 and died 9 Oct 2007.

My mother died at 88, alzeimers or equivalent

My mother's youngest sister died at 98, having spent 15 years bed bound due to numerous strokes.

My brother (my only sibling) died at 65 after 15 years with cancer, outliving the expectations by 10 years, one of those multiisyllable non-something or others. He lived thanks to monthly transfusions because his body did not create white or red blood cells.

When will I go? No idea. Born 10 June 1940.

two boxes ( 50 per box ) nitrile gloves

not sure if I am going to start to wear them as I go outside of the house for shopping

also trying to decide if I am going to wear any type of face covering ( but if I do, it won't be the type needed by the medical professionals or first responders )

worried about appearing to be sick to others I would meet

but with my age and pre existing conditions
