Originally posted by Jonathan Mac Makes a lot of sense to go FF mirrorless if you use vintage lenses most of the time. Sometimes I think I could get by with a good FF mirrorless, a good native fast fifty and then use vintage lenses for all the rest, then I realise that LBA would pull me in, and FF mirrorless LBA is lot more expensive than APS-C.
I've had either a Helios 44-2, SMC-K 55mm f/1.8 or a Voigtlander Ultron 40mm f/2 stuck to the front of my (now former) camera for a good while now. I've opted for 1x AF lens in the Samyang 45mm f/1.8 which is getting good press as an inexpensive option, but I'll certainly be sticking to legacy glass*.
*In short,
my LBA won't have changed as I'll still be on the lookout for PK and M42 lenses!
The only other AF options that are grabbing my eye are the small Samyang AF ones - there's an 18mm f/2.8, 24mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.8 and now a 75mm f/1.8, all of which are sub-£400, some of which can be had for sub-£200 used, so not hugely expensive in the grand scheme. All getting very good press.
