Thank you for your advise, I will still play around with the Bellows-Takumar and try that.
IQ wise, yes the 100mm F2.8 has more contrast and better rendition though the Bellows-Takumar is surprisingly almost as sharp as the newer one.

Think of the helicoid as changing the reproduction ratio, not a device for focusing. That said, the 100mm f2.8 will AF very close without fuss and is much, much easier to use than a bellows lens, and also has easily seen superior IQ.

Hi Chris, yes i will never sell it. I got it from my dad before he passed away, and though it was his primary camera but i got handful chances to use it when i was in school.. it was very rare occasions as normally i was only allowed to borrow his fm2 or that strange rollei 35 with flash hotshoe at bottom.
I sometimes play with the pre-ai lenses attached directly to my K1 Mk2, I knew it is safe to do that from this forum and actually it is one of the reason why i move to pentax. I dare not to put on the ai lens yet since the lens mount is too protruding compared to pre-ai.

I am happy to use both Pentax and Nikon manual focus gear.
