I picked up a copy of this book at a charity shop for about a dollar. It was published in 2006, so it's not exactly up to date. Still, it might hold useful information. For the price I paid, no complaints.

Takumar 35mm f/4 Asahi Pentax first wide angle lens. I won it at well under the current $265-$350 selling price on eBay. Now the waiting game for shipping starts. I couldn’t believe the seller had a $100 starting bid with a Buy it now of $200. Even with $30 shipping and 6% sales tax I goy it for under $175. Pretty sure many bidders stayed away because there was a single incorrect photo attached to the listing.

The Mamiya lens is a Mamiya E mount (different from Sony's E-mount), which fits Mamiya's Z-series slr cameras.

There is a MD-PK adapter to use Minolta lenses on Pentax K-mount cameras. However, because of inconsistent registry distances, this adapter must use extra glass in order to achieve focus. The extra glass included in the adapter potentially causes a degradation of the lens optical quality.

From Yahoo Japan using Buyee. A bit expensive because of all of the added cost but very hard to find for the price in Europe.

The K-10 I won on eBay arrived today. Only 14,388 shutter clicks, and all packed up in original factory boxe with all the factory accessories--charger, USB connector, 18-55mm kit lens (non-WR, unfortunately), and an extra item, a rubberized camera guard/protector. Everything is in nice condition with no marks or scratches. Looks like I will be making a few more contribution to th K-10 thread.
Glad you like the camera I sent you! Let me know if you have any issues with AF accuracy and need pointers on how to adjust it. I had an adjustment set that seemed to work well for that 18-55, a 10-17 and a 35-70 I was using on it.

To many of you a strange instrument. A Gossen Multisix exposure meter. A small version of the well known Mastersix.
Being smaller the Multisix fits in a small camera bag I use to carry around the oldest Super wide camera Hasselblad made.
It is a later sample of the Supreme Wide Angle camera Victor Hasselblad introduced at the 1954 Photokina in Cologne.

Second hand Tamron 2C9FH lens hood for the Tamron 90 F2.8 Macro Di SP i purchasedf 12 months ago second hand that had no hood but everything else including box and packing - i wonder whether the two parts were originally together were separated and have become reunited via different sellers - both in Australia.

Pleased to have this hood although rather superflouus on this lens as its objective lens is, like many macro lenses already very recessed. I try to use a hood at all times as I do not have UV filters on any of my lenses.

Does that predate the Auto Takumar 35/3.5. The latter looks similar in many ways but has a cocking lever on the aperture I found the shiny finish around the rear element seems to result in reflection problems with a digital sensor. Interested to know how you get on with it.

Last week of June I bought a yellow Pentax K-01 with DA 40 F2.8 XS and SMC Pentax 1.7x AF from a gentleman in gumtree.

And 2 weeks ago I won a used Pentax DA 20-40 F2.8-4 Ltd on ebay, I have been eyeing this lens for months but cannot justify to buy a brand new one since I already have the 3 princesses + D FA 28-105.

At the same time frame, my father in law was suddenly sick, hospitalized and finally passed away last Sunday and the hardest part we could not go back to Indonesia due to the pandemic, so.. while looking back at my old family outing pictures (he was there and still in good shape) I kinda felt nostalgic with my first DSLR: Nikon D70s because those pictures was taken with that camera.
Ultimately bumped to CCD club thread over here and decided to give Pentax K10D a try.

Earlier this week I won Pentax K10D with Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5 Macro on ebay, it comes with the original boxes (both camera and lenses) and 10,049 shutter actuation.

It just arrive today, the camera was heavily back focus, the front element of sigma has 1 tiny scratch and inside there are few dusts but overall both camera and lens in good condition albeit showing lengthy period of storage (dust inside the built-in flash compartment).
Once again this forum shows its strength, I managed to fine tune the AF through debug mode after learning it from a thread, I am very happy.
I really appreciate the spirit of sharing knowledge in this forum, thank you.

The lens arrived yesterday from Japan in a badly crushed box, typical of carrier DHL! The sellers packaging left much to be desired, however, the lens escaped any impact related damage. However, vibrations during transit loosened the front and rear retaining rings. A quick trip to the workbench to use my lens spanners and the 62 year old lens was operable. My Asahi Pentax S now wears an appropriate lens.

I ordered ten rolls of 120 format Fuji 400H which was at a very good price (ie. what would have been the normal price four years ago) on Amazon Spain. They don't expect to have the stock for another month but I'm in no hurry, I have plenty more 120 to get through, almost all of it expired.

The Takumar 35/4 was introduced in 1957 and ended production in 1958. The Auto Takumar 35/2.3 was introduced in the autumn of 1958 to go with the Asahi Pentax K, the first Pentax body with the ability to stop down a lens at the moment of exposure. The 35/3.5 was also introduced in 1958 and is a very fine little lens. I have a 35/2.3 also, it is a better lens than the 35/4 on a DSLR. By the way, some flat model enamel paint applied to the area you mentioned will help.
